We aren't mentioned. :( Also, we don't have tech discussion forum, so here I post.

Looks like more support for the newer cards. Nothing there for me at this time.

Most driver packages are not worth the download time unless they specifically address an issue you are having with a specific game. I find that some new driver packages break things too, so I always wait to see what the feedback on the interwebz is before grabbing a new one.

But, if my games are working, I leave my drivers alone.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

There's always the PC Technical Support forum, accessed via the Customer Support forum.

I prefer to use older drivers, they're more likely to be the ones the developers were using when they were creating the game, and if they run everything smoothly why change them? If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

I checked that sub-forum and it is a continuation of the Customer Support forum. After thinking about it I can word it better.

This game really isn't a blip on the radar for most gamers. There are far more popular games and far more graphically intensive games for amd to tune the drivers to.

    1. Drivers are to update and fix problems. If a game is not on there, there is no problem for it to fix. Please don't speak of technical things, unless you know what they are.
    2. Look at ALL the notes. Support for several OS system functions and features, which applications are using. Such as FINALLY support for AMD CPU. SOME AMD Cpu systems will now utilize more of their power in ESO, because Microsoft finally started to support them as well as Intel.

These drivers did not help me. However, a guild member who are using AMD CPU, jumped up in FPS today.

Well they did do some general fixes for some newer video cards. It didn't address ESO directly but they made claims Radeon "whatever"x 4% performance increase in a feature, 20% increase in another function.

If you are on Windows 7 you may have run into a problem with the Control panel. >.<

*various fixes around the internet, but see post below*

I suggest the repair options first. The comments about hide/unhide can take a long time if you are a gamer. The people who reported it doesn't take a long time may not be gamers. LOL

NVM fixing this. CCC will crash but so far can still use it. It just crash's when you close it.

Read the release notes and if it affects your card get it as it will help. Otherwise skip it until they fix their crap. Normally you can safely download their drivers. I noticed waaaaay at the bottom the following, so it's like they knew it can happen but released them anyways.

I have tested these drivers on my radeon hd5870m which is quite old and in medium category nowadays and may say I've gained couple of fps' s and experience is even smoother.
CCC doesn't crash to me so it's definitely worth to upgrade, I'm quite shocked seeing people advising to stay with old drivers, what kind of advice is that :o

Is anyone here using Vista (x64) and AMD graphics card?

If they have successfully installed with these I would appreciate knowing about this. I bought a new graphics card in the spring (an R9 270x) and NONE of the AMD packages would install without jumping through hoops.

I am currently using 14.7 RC3 (Aug 12) but I generally prefer proper release; but I do not want to go through the hassle.

[Okay - the release notes do not claim that they support Vista; and when I go through their download site they point me at older drivers. BTW the older drivers did not install when I tried to do so earlier]

Having no issues, apart from CCC crashing on exit, if anything I am able to OC my 6870 slightly higher with no signs of issues.
The CCC issue may have me looking at Afterburner or some other 3rd party tools to change settings again.

My system is stable with the 14.4 so I will wait. As someone else said, still waiting for the real 280x patch, so far its all about 290 and 270s.

Honestly, it's not always a bad thing with drivers. Updates to fix bugs are one thing but drivers, sometimes it's better to leave them.

I'd just like some real attention for running the game in Crossfire.

@Martinus72 Is ESO using all of your cards GPU? I have the same card but I can only get 30-40% GPU usage out of it. For example notice I'm at 10fps here but barely using my GPU. I can get 40-50fps but I'm never getting everything out of my gpu.

Prior to upgrading to Windows 7 a few months ago I was using 64 Vista and AMD HD5870. I had no problems installing catalyst. However catalyst stopped making drivers for vista on my card so I upgraded to W7 to start getting new driver releases. Windows 7 is worth the $100 dollars. I guess you could get 8 but I refuse to pay for an empty box...and the tiles.

Well I just updated my R9 270X drivers, no change at all. Nothing broke down, nor performance got atleast 1% better... Well this counts as a good thing then right ?

I won't even let CCC load with my system. I don't do any post game processing (a lot of games that I play don't like that) and I prefer to let my games run their own settings for things like AA and the like.

@Martinus72 it shows the CPU on the right, GPU on the left. It's under the GPU Shark window not the Resource Monitor window.

AMD looking into issues in Catalyst 14.9 driver bundle

There is a beta release now to address these issues. Going to give them a try or go back to 14.4 which seemed to give me fewer problems. ESO runs fine on main monitor but I've gotten this awful flickering on my 2nd monitor that comes and goes.
