Would you accept closing Cyrodill to fix main issues?

It seems the dev team are struggling with too many issues at the time. Do you think it would make sense to close Cyrodill (literally) at least for a while until major issues are fixed and PvE part is dealt with? If they focus on one segment at the time it may bring better results.

"Accept" as in cancel my sub and not renew it before they're done ? Yea, I guess.

PvE fixes and regular content updates I get in GW2 without a monthly fee.

Not everyone is having problems and closing off the only part PVP option is just a bad idea.

I don't see how that would help. It's not like they are coding directly on the live server.

I currently spend more time in PvE than PvP, but I don't think they should entertain that option.

Feel free to close Cyrodil and make the entire map open for PvP. Since its the PVEers that feel they need their stuff fixed first, I'm sure they will happily loan us their playground while its being worked on.

That would be hilarious. The chaos would be unbelievable.
Closing Cyrodiil wouldn't help anything though and there are a few players who say they aren't having major issues with it.

Why would you even suggest closing Cyrodiil? There are many players who are only here for PvP, and, outside of some crashes, there aren't too many problems with it. It wouldn't help update the PvE areas any faster and would lose Zenimax subs. There is no logical reason to close Cyrodiil.

How would shutting down cyrodiil have any reflection on things?

No, just as with the other poll about closing the whole game and rebuilding it, the idea is absurd.

I have no interest in PvP but I respect the choice of those who do, and wouldn't want their part of the game closed down while the devs worked on other things, nor would I want the devs only working on PvP while Cyrodil was down and therefore being distracted from other things.

It's still early days for the game, and these things will all get sorted in time. Players can either cut the devs some slack or else take a break and come back later if they feel they're not currently getting enough enjoyment from the game to justify the cost. Just a radical thought, but they could even play a bit on the test server and help with some of the fixes, although I do think that the devs need to improve their communications so far as the handling of bug reports and communicating their responses are concerned.

Imagine the haters and trolls having a field day with that one. Oh yeah let's all go play the only MMO with no PVP

Gives a new meaning to the term guest PVP....not quite what we had in mind visitor wise. lol

Then I'd have no reason to play at all. I can at least go into cyrodil to do quests and gank people trying to do quests, or get ganked trying to do quests.

They can do fixes and balances without closing cyrodil, but they need to fix and balance around PvP encounters instead of PvE encounters which they have been doing. Some things are as simple as making certain skills do more or less damage to enemy players at the skill level.

Absolutely not. You can still play Cyrodiil and have a very fun time even though there are certain issues. The biggest issue by far is the crashes. If those have been resolved with this patch, then I don't think any of the other issues come close to needing a shutdown.

No. Not because I necessarily think it's a bad idea but simply because I want the most obnoxious of the PvP kiddies happily occupied AWAY from me, not griefing the PvE zones en masse to "punish" those darn PvEers for messing with their fun.

NO, close Craglorn and any endgame PvE first. This game was "supposed" to revolve around this great battle in Cyrodiil. Personally I think they have abandoned that idea and are more focused on PvE now.

'Course, I'd still vote yes if you trimmed off the last 4 words of the question. As others said, I don't see why you'd need to close Cyrodil to fix things. It's not like an expressway where you simply can't work on it while people are driving over it.
