The Kin of the Shadow Phoenix
A collection of fighters and merchants finding safety and family in a time of war.
In Character Introduction / Mission Statement
*Signs are posted all around the Aldmeri Dominion. The writing is elegant and at the bottom of the page is an illustration of the Thizzrini Arena with a dark grey phoenix in the background*
Citizens of the Dominion, the Kin of the Shadow Phoenix would like to officially invite you to the Thizzrini Arena for fun and entertainment. Fights occur weekly and betting is encouraged. All fights are always free to attend and family friendly, so come and see the splendors that only we can provide!
The Kin also seeks to employ gifted fighters, crafters, and merchants. If interested please make your way to the Arena and come see what our family has to offer to those who choose to join us. The inn in Rawl'Kha has spare cots available to house individuals who are in the area to look into employment with us.
We work to bring peace to our war-torn Reaper's March and to provide a welcome distraction in this time of war.
OOC Introduction
The Kin is based out of the Thizzrini Arena in Reaper's March. We offer RP fighting and allow betting using real gold. For now our merchants only work ICly, but with time we hope to include an actual market for those who choose to work for us.
There is also a secret branch of our organization that works illegally in the shadows, though in character the Kin actively works to fight crime. We refer to these people as 'Dark Merchants' though they are so much more than just merchants. While we keep this part of the Kin very hush-hush in character, we do keep our people in this branch very busy.
We make occasional outings: to Cyrodiil, to take out dolmens, run dungeons, and to collect materials in character. All of this is in an aim to keep those who choose to join up busy and keep RP from getting stale.
We are a heavy RP guild, and as such we try our best to stick to the lore of the Elder Scrolls universe and ask that those that join us do the same. If you fail to abide by the lore, or cause other problems, we will have to part ways in an attempt to keep the Kin as a cohesive family unit.
Ranks
Officers: Officers are your leaders, who you go to with concerns, who are always there to help you in any way they can, and who strive to make the RP fun and exciting for you.
Dons: These are the leaders of the Arena ICly and your lead OOC officers.
Underbosses: These officers will work mainly OOC, though you should treat them respectfully ICly as well. As of right now we are not using this position due to not having a need.
Capos: These officers are mainly in an IC position, though their input is asked for OOCly as well. Capos are in charge of specific groups of players such as the arena healers and swordsmen-based fighters.
Full Members: In matters of concern to the guild as a whole, full members get a voice in what takes place. They are a part of the family and are treated as such, with their ideas and storylines allowed to grow and flourish.
Merchants: These are our vendors and crafters for the Arena.
Fighters: These are the members that fight in the Arena using either weapon skills, sorcery, or summoning. Healers are also included under this label as the fights are where they are most often used.
Dark Merchants: These are the members who work in the shadows doing illegal deeds. They will take on the title of Merchant or Fighter as a cover story.
Associates: These are members who have gone through the two week trial period and uploaded their backstory but have yet to choose what part of the family they want to be in.
Special Members: Though these members are not a part of the family, they are still treated with care and respect, and help is offered whenever we can, both IC and OOC.
Visitors: This is the rank for the two week trial period that starts when your application is submitted. This is a temporary position, with the expectation that those with this rank will soon become full members.
Guild Contacts: This rank is for individuals from other guilds who we interact with frequently so that we may keep in touch. Though not members, Guild Contacts are treated with respect as to further our relations with other guilds.
Basic rules
- Be Respectful - In character and out of character
- Be Active - This guild is a family, in order to establish that sense of community our members need to be active.
- Be Lore Friendly - As mentioned before, we are a lore friendly guild. We don't expect anyone to know everything, but we expect you to be willing to learn.
- Be Open - RP brings in different personalities, in and out of character. We do not expect everyone to get along at all times, but we do expect you to try to keep the peace. In character drama can be fun at times, but it can also wear people down, be aware of the feelings of your fellows.
- Be Vocal - We want feedback, we want your character to have their own life and story, we want this guild to be shaped by its members. To do that we need you to be willing to be up for speaking out.
