A bunch of things to consider...

First, there's going to be a full moon, either this evening or tomorrow morning. Meaning you can get mauled for free in Reaper's March. They tend to spawn along the north east areas.

Second, if you're under level 25, don't try to get bitten by a player. The Werewolf quest is murderous for lowbies. If you get mauled by a random spawn the infection stays indefinitely, but that has it's own issues.

As a general rule, if you can't move around Reaper's March with some freedom, you're probably not going to be able to finish the quest and actually become a werewolf.

If you've done it before, know what you're doing, and want to take a crack at it anyway on a sub-20, that's your entertainment/suffering. It's just this side of possible, and with some enemies it should be doable, but... you are signing up for an absurd challenge.

If you're infected, Templar players can "cure" you until you've finished the quest. The purify synergy will cleanse the infection stage... or so I'm told.

Werewolves require a strong ultimate engine to function. It's not as excessive as it was before 1.4.3, but the entire focus of being a werewolf is a 400pt ultimate. Meaning you're going to need to go looking for any ability that can give you more ultimate or reduce your costs. Sorcerers make a good choice because of the cost reduction. Two Handed weapon users get access to carve, which generates ultimate for every enemy it hits. The Fighter's Guild's Banish the Wicked perks help a lot. There's also a Werewolf passive called Blood Rage which generates ultimate when you're taking damage.

The transform itself is fairly short. You only have a few seconds to get some kills in before you revert. Gorge will let you stay in wolf form longer by chewing on your victims, it refreshes about 30% of the timer, and one of the pounce morphs extends your time (by another second, though this feels substantially longer.)
