A lore question

Is the Daedric Prince Jyggalag dead? I looked at some of the Youtube lore videos out there (ShoddyCast), and interestingly
Jyggalag is the Daedric Prince of order, who later became so powerful that the other princes turned him into the complete opposite; something un-orderly…
Yep. Sheogorath.
Anywho, it turned out Sheogorath sometimes changes back into Jyggalag, until a champion saw Sheogorath as he turned into Jyggalag. The champion "defeated" Jyggalag and in doing so separated Sheogorath and Jyggalag, so that Sheogorath will always stay Sheogorath. My question is then, what happened to Jyggalag after he was defeated? Daedric Princes can't die can they?

[PS: I'm not claiming that any of the above is canon, I took this from a ShoddyCast video. Don't hurt me please :scream: ]

Jyggalag isn't dead, because he is Sheogorath. They are two sides of the same soul (at least until the events of Shivering Isles DLC), his Kingdom is periodically Destroyed because he reverts back to Jyggalag. But Sheogorath/Jyggalag doesn't himself die.

If you are asking about after the events in Shivering Isles, then it gets more complicated. He voluntarily returns to the fires of Oblivion (ie sort of dies), but Jyggalag is still a Daedric Prince and thus immortal, he can't actually die, but he will take a while rebuilding his power.

I'm of the suspicion that the Shivering Isles expansion was more about driving one of the more interesting mortals on nirn insane than actually establishing facts into the lore

But, no, daedra cannot die. They can lose controll of a corporeal form and appear to 'die', but they are not truly gone.

Aedra, due to their connection with mundus, can die... But Jyggalag is not aedra.

But, again, I'm not sure how much I can trust when dealing with the madgod. Especially when whisked away to the realm he controlls.
This one has an eloquent and well thought out response to tha... Ooh sweetroll!
