Armor and Clothing with Colors That Cant Be Altered.

I've noticed some of the sets of armor available have colors in them that can not be dyed or altered at all. I'm not sure if that was intentional, but it greatly limits some of the style ideas that players may have. The follow motifs are the ones I've come across:

Nord - Medium Armor and Heavy Armor. Anything 'Fur' can not be dyed.

Daedric - Medium Armor. Any leather straps on chest, gloves or boots can not be dyed.

Primal - The ivory and bone on the chest gloves and other pieces.

I was wondering, is this ever going to be changed or should I just look into other designs that look okay? The trouble is that some of the medium armor are not really very visually pleasing because they have giant floating hip pieces that are ugly and dont seem to make much sense paired with a leather assassin/rogue style suit (Such as Bosmer Medium).

I agree on your point and would also like to be able to dye shields.

There are also some armor skins which cant be dyed well in pale or blue-ish colours because they have a golden or brownish base colour. Test it out with an argonian Robes or "golden saint"-Skin Set items like the unassailable and Lords Set. These cant be dyed silverish or White, as those colours dont overlay the Basic pattern of the items quite well.

And, yes, please let us dye shields and also weapons. You can run around in a pink plate armor right now if you want to, so pink shields and weapons wouldnt make that worser. ;)

    greetings...

boots and leggings of almost all leather armor don't even display the correct colors of the dye and will almost never match up with the rest of the armor. i put blood red on my body armor it'll be blood red i put it on boots it comes out faded s unbleached pink.

There is also a problem with the Brenton light (robe) armor on my Argonian. The robe has her arms exposed, but if you change the color, her arms become dyed as well. I haven't tested it on other races

Yep, totally bugs me when I get a Daedric robe of some sort and discover that I'm stuck with brown leather for the midrift section. But you know what I hate even more? THOSE STUPID FLOATING HIP THINGS!!!! OMG ZOS ***WHAT*** WERE YOU THINKING???? GET RID OF THEM ALREADY!!!!!! Have I emphasized my dislike of this enough yet? No? Then allow me to reiterate... DEATH TO THE STUPID FLOATING HIP GUARDS!!!! THEY LOOK RIDICULOUS ZOS!!!! FIX IT!!!!!

    Okay, I feel better now.

The Dunmer Spidersilk Light Armour has leather on it that can't be dyed. It's not a problem, I like it.

It just means I have to choose colours that don't clash with the leather, It challenges me a touch, and I feel I met it ok by choosing green for the main part.

    Okay, I feel better now.

I have to agree about the hip guards. I wouldn't like them even if they weren't floating in mid-air, but they look ridiculous right now. Oh, and I believe that the fur on Nord light armor cannot be dyed either. I would love to see a change to all of the Nord armors as I absolutely love the style, but it's really hard to make it work with the colors I want when it can only be white or light brown.
