How do I backup my ESO files ?

GaiusCastricius
Hey all,

I'd appreciate anyway that can give me some insight into how I can backup my Elder Scrolls files ? Create an entire copy ? I have a portable hard-drive coming tomorrow would it be best to keep a copy on there ? Any advice would be appreciated :)

Just make a copy of the whole folder OR if all you want is to avoid having to download entire game like if you're moving it to a new drive, just make a copy of the depot folder (that's the big one with all the game data in it, Zenimax Online ---> The Elder Scrolls Online ---> depot) and stick that in new directory when you start an install.

And be aware there are other files tucked away in your Documents folder.

Hi, i do backup my ESO client to an external HD on MAC.
I just copy the folder in the documents, where addon etc setting are, and the whole game that is in another folder.
This is good for me because it let me download patches (the big ones) only once (i then share the game to friend that do not have a good internet speed)

I don't know if its possible to have the same result with the window version, maybe someone can help with that.
