Ranching/farming crafting skill?

I suggested this on another thread and thought it was worth its own. Wouldn't this be a cool new crafting skill? If they timed it with the release of user property it would be perfect.

Possibilities are:

New mounts
Siege beasts
Growing recipe ingredients
Maybe raising one-shotable summonable beasts to aid in combat.

Why not? Everyone in this game is either a slave or dead. (Thats an exaggeration but seems like it)

I loved farming in Skyrim! Good idea! I have heard the suggestion of breeding horses before and like that one too.

True.. its got my vote. It could be a really cool class... I'm thinking of the Necromancer from Age of Conan where you can have a dozen little things following you around... except they would be slaves instead of undead.

Id honestly love farming, and honestly it would go quite well with justice system. one of the chief complaints i hear about justice is the fact that it will be harder to get provisioning mats, enter FARMING!!!! just like regular crafting and in skyrim plants take time to grow the rarer the plant the longer the time, and of course usefull mills. so you could take say corn which is a very common low level ingredient and grow corn in a few hours take it to the mill and grind it into say corn mash or take it somewhere else for something else like maybe a way to make the broths or something. on the other hand peppercorn and red wheat are rarer ingredients so maybe those take a few days to grow. peppercorn you can take to the mill and get ground pepper.

to make it more interesting make all ingredients have atleast 2 forms. one processed one unprocessed and make recipes call for both. then you could turn red wheat into red wheat flour and can make something else out of it

Sure. They have big plans on the horizon... anything is a possibility. You're talking small potatoes with a buggy patch.

in their defense they did ASK PEOPLE TO GO TO PTS TO HELP TEST!!!! your complaining about bugs. apparently, not enough people did help test patch and hence you have bugs

im sure the ones that did test only really tested the vr 14 stuff and the arena and the like not the small stuff that came before that could break. instead of placing all the blame on zen maybe you should take some of it as well, im sure you, sindala, did not go to the PTS, of course not, but you have no problems hijacking a thread trying to offer ideas on content because you feel that they should catch every bug by themselves. take your whining to another thread or offer something constructive

Well I can say for myself that I gave up on the PTS after the 2nd large patch where lots of people told them it didn't work and even on the PTS forum....but they patched it out anyway.
The fact is they don't care about PTS, that's just to make sure their are no exploits when it goes live....not if it actually works or not.

Still, I cant wait to see what the 'hot topic' is this week in ESO livestream......probably some NPC that spilled his beer.....

I'm curious... do you get to import your toon to the the PTS and keep any XP, loot you get there when you go back?

No, its more of a copy that's made on the PTS. You can travel to Craglorn and get a boost to VR12 it think it was...or maybe VR8?
But no, you cant travel there and back.

Thanks.. kinda what I figured. There is not much incentive to spend your time there vs advancing your toon.
