Sorry, but that's a BS excuse for a herd mentality. Watch the group icons on the map. For 'everyone being coordinated because of TS' there were 3 groups at different spots on the map not even playing together, and even the group leader was running around by himself half the time.

At the end of the day TS is not an option for many people who play late at night or need to be silent for any other reason.

So if all guilds are TS only.....how do you join a guild ?

I know exactly how you feel. It's like hitting the brick wall all over again, but this time around there's no convenient workaround available. I tried to avoid Craglorn as much as I could due to that fact, I just don't enjoy grinding that much anymore. But I would love to quest there.

I tried looking for more folks for exactly this a while back and VR, especially those interested in a voice comm free environment (and it's most certainly not needed, just more convenient to those who can and like to use it), but it seems as if there's literally no interest at all. Anyways, as long as the grind will be way more efficient than questing and the phasing issues prevent people from helping each other, I don't see myself progressing any further, since questing simply is not supported by the game's design.

Gotta have to reroll, I suppose, and hope it'll change in the meantime.

I don't find TS necessary for a well-functioning group. That said, two identical groups, one in TS and one not, will always favor the one in TS.

I usually have little trouble finding groups that don't require TS when I'm in a large campaign. That's good enough for me. I know where I should be, so I don't usually care to have somebody telling me where to go. I just enjoy having a select few people that I can focus on assisting more as a healer, and the extra AP is nice.

If all that's needed was "NW gate" then no, you don't need TS or similar. I'm unsure how complicated the Trial boss fights become but in the game that shall not be named, rarely were instructions that simple.

I think this has been one of the biggest issues with the game, for me. As an MMO you want people to be social, but ESO has forced players to group once you beat most of the solo content. You simply cannot enter dungeons or be successful in PvP unless you have a group of people with you.

Lucky for solo-players, there'll be Wrothgar. I'm looking forward to it, because I really like to going just by myself on adventurers, once in a while.

I wouldn't have minded Crag quite as much if it wasn't for the gosh-durned phasing issues on almost every quest.

Finding 3 other people on the same step of the quest is really time consuming, as is having to catch everyone up every time you want to finish something,.

It's a shame the forum rules prohibit finding groups to do content together. Or at least they do, as I recall them. Should look into that.

Really, there should be a forum section specifically for finding players to tackle content together. This is supposed to be a social experience.

In other words: *BULLETIN: If you cannot make/find/buy friends or are not in an active Guild, you will need to figure out how to use player created content for your Craglorn fun.

JUST THINK: If soloer's hadn't crushed for Vet + content 1 - 10 to be morphed to a 'more comfortable soloing experience', folks could have been grouping up regularly, the way that content was originally designed. Then, aside from PvPr's who, understandably-so (*since at the e x p in Cyr was hard to come by to level up with), were trying to zoom up super quick/efficient so they could head over to Cyr and have some competitive PvP fun -- well the PvEr's who would have had to have been grouping and learning reps and helping each other and journeying through could have had contacts for later. By the time one would have gotten to Craglorn, there would have been friends' lists and everything ;o).

Ah, but that was not to be. The clear consequences to TESO endgame were easy to foresee. But, but, but....that Vet content needed to be eased up "JUST A BIT" eh?

Bunch of b-s. An MMO blooms if its middle content has some challenge and the grouping has some raison d'être. Craglorn has some awesome content. Too bad a good amount of its just being wasted. I encourage players to check out the zone the way it was designed to be played. TESO had the middle ripped out, now little more than shabby leavings in Craglorn.

Thus my first paragraph: If you cannot make/find/buy friends or are not in an active Guild, you're kinda shafted in Craglorn. Sorry.

I quit ESO after the first month or so. I rushed it which was bad, but being one of the first vampires and hunting / finding bloodfiends in early access in THE RIFT was the funnest time ever in an MMO for me and finding the altar of Lamae. The immersion was incredible and I look forward to playing again on PS4 on my 80 inch TV in my dark bedroom with new content and justice system, haha. sadly it will launch in 2015 most likely.

The TS hate is odd, especially from people who claim to have used it before. You need TS to listen to others, you don't actually have to speak to anyone. There are headsets with only one ear piece or you can just slide one ear off. Are some people just as set in their ways as the people they are complaining about?

I hate to break it to you but this is commonplace in all MMOs. The general mindset of today's MMO gamers are "get things done" not waste time and "smell the flowers."

You didn't get a group in old VR, because it was perfectly soloable to some and phasing made any grouping outside of fixed groups not feasible. You don't get a group in Craglorn, because grinding through it is way more efficient and phasing makes any grouping outside of fixed groups not feasible.

It's not the mindset of players (well, not mainly), but the very design of the game.

Hmmm..good luck changing the game to suit you rather the other way around. Like you said, you don't have friends, probably not in a guild and not willing/able to be on TS when in a group..classic case of a 'casual/solo' player and no MMO game can be soloable forever because if they are from start to finish, they run into other problems already discussed here ad naseum.

Its not the content you struggle with its the other players behavior @ OP.

MMOs all have Elitists nothing we can do about it. The time trial thing was a bad idea by ZO as it feeds these people with their min / maxing.

That said, if you are at Craglorn or any MMO specific zone then just group with passer byes. You cant tell me that you don't see any of them. Zone chat is the worst thing you can do in any MMO, just delete it from your chat window and carry on.

Read the posts. I used TS in games where they were needed (military style group play). Now I have a kid. I can't use TS because of what I mentioned above. Plus, this game is much faster because of AoE spam than any military based squad performance type game. TS is simply not needed for 50 people funning in a mob spamming AoEs. Following group leader dot on map and in game is sufficient.

The casuals are the people who think they need voice comm crutch to be any good.

My experience here is that most people don't want to take charge and make a group. I completed all of Craglorn in about 3-4 days (3-4 hours per day) including time spent LFG.

What I would do is just list all the quests/delves I needed in zone chat with a LFG message. Wait 5 minutes and do it again. If you still do not get an invite change it up to "Starting group for quest/delve x". You would be surprised how many people do not say anything in zone chat. Almost every time I have started a group for the quests, I got flooded with whispers to the point I had to turn people down.

Also when you finally get people in your group, bend a little to what they need. Do a delve you already have done. Do Critical Mass a second time. That is a good way to get players on your friends list and further eliminate the grouping problems.

Anyways, just my opinions here and what has worked for me.

Edit: By completed Craglorn I did not mean trials. Still working on those

Tried that on different occasions with zero results. I'm used to group building via chat, pretty much grew up on it, keeping groups alive by going through /who lists and all. (whished there was something at least similar)

Anyways, @Shadowcaster_9481 being successful either means he's got lucky or me's unlucky, but any case, it's still worth to keep going and too soon to give up just yet, so thanks for the pep talk. I mean it.

Not all guilds are TS only. Some like ours, DC Endless Rage, use TS, have a vibrant PvP community, but the majority of the guild are not on TS and are accessible through in game chat options.

Additionally most guilds that use TS are aware you may not be able to "talk" all the time to keep things quiet on your end. If noise levels are a concern then I'll assume your using headphones and can at least listen to directions from group leaders and type responses in guild or TS chat...shrug.

Not joining a group or guild because of TS really is short sighted and is gimping your ability enjoy the full content of the game.

Demanding group content be turned into solo content makes absolutely no sense to me. I mean I understand the frustration and I personally tend to play solo as I'm somewhat anti-social, but it's my responsibility to use the mechanisms provided, eg. guilds or chat to group with others to complete group content. I have no expectation ZOS change it to solo content. At best I hope they provide more incentives for groups to group up by provided better rewards, coin etc.

Sorry this may not be what you want to hear. I hope you are able to enjoy the content as is as much as possible.
