You have been provided such information numerous times. Stop being so contravening.
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.

He was talking specifically about phase 2, so of course he wasn't going to mention that since the removal of vet ranks is part of phase 3.

Honestly the real reason the devs and community managers are more active outside of these forums is because these forums of full of disrespectful rude people who are the lowest rung of the game's community. The others forums and vodcasts, etc. Are respectful so of course they're going to be more willing to talk directly with the more reasonable members of their community and not have to deal with all of the toxicity that goes on here.

Oh and also if you would read the road ahead article on the home page of this site then you would have an extremely rough timeline regarding when to expect to see the justice system.

Thank you for your clarification on this..

But this whole thread is regarding ZOS failure to communicate effectively on this Forum.

I have read the road ahead, which is why I would love to see more involvement from Devs on this forum regarding it, proper teasers, thing that will get people excited. But there is nothing, no official thread, nothing to excite the community in to discussing anything constructively. Just a forum full of requests for information, continual guess work by the community into what is actually happening.
Everyone here is a fully paid up member of the community, most are not toxic but frustrated.
As mentioned before this whole forum set up is a crock of *** and has been since release, it has improved slightly I admit, but it needs more love.

Most of all it needs more involvement from ZOS

Well the forum structure is being revamped, as was posted on these forums as an announcement a while back, should help improve that experience. But honestly most of the stuff you see on these forums is someone b*tching about this change or that change or just being generally rude towards the devs. You can't blame them from not wanting to interact with this type of community. There is next to nothing constructive or civil posted on these forums these days. It's either people complaining and generally being extremely entitled little sh*ts or posting silly polls. That doesn't mean there isn't ANY meaningful discussion that goes on but it gets lost in the sea of BS.
This is a flat out lie. There are dozens of constructive posts written every day that get ignored. You're blowing the amount of legitimately hateful posts on this forum out of the water.

I've been browsing these forums for the past few days, and do so off and on throughout the week. There are very few truly constructive threads. It's mostly hateful entitled crybabies who threaten to quit or whatever if ZOS doesn't do what they want them to do. The community of these official forums has a pretty terrible reputation among the game's playerbase, there is a reason for that and it's not the forum design.

I'm pretty sure you won't be satisfied until you personally Skype with the lead dev and hear him say it to you in real time. It's been said and confirmed that VR ranks are going away EVENTUALLY, but there are changes and balances that need to be made prior to that.

Look it up for yourself ya lazy bum. The info isn't hard to find. I'm pretty sure it was talked about in "The Road Ahead" released yesterday.

I read the road ahead, which you obviously didn't because there was nothing about this. I'll be satisfied when I see an official statement on the subject, not some random twitch response which could be incorrect. The community representatives are not devs and nowhere else does it say they are removing vr levels. Once an official announcement makes it clear, then so be it, but it seems this community is willing to accept speculation as fact, which is pretty stupid.

Isn't the job of the community managers to pass on information and answer questions? I doubt they're sitting around saying, "I wonder what misinformation we can spread on the forums today."

They have a lot of information to pass on about what the devs plan to do, but they are not the devs and they are not computers. It is possible they misinterpreted the information like anyone else. I would like a link to at least one other source before I go along with what is being considered fact. This isn't about what I want, this is about how people accept rumors too easily. We need an official link to a real response. A twitch screenshot is not enough.

What is a "real response"? I'm sure the community managers get their info directly from the devs. They don't look over their shoulders and guess what their plans are, or what they're working on. It's not the devs job to relay info to the community, it's the job of the community managers....who have done so.

Do you have detailed information about their ranks structure? Mistakes can always happen. Why didn't they respond to the question on this forum yet? Maybe they are waiting for the answer as well.

If you can read, you'll see that they already did respond to this question. They just didn't do so in this thread.

But you've made it abundantly clear that you're here to spread misinformation and ignore any evidence you're confronted with.

Read what? How many times have I asked for a link to some proof?

    I'll say it again:

    POST A LINK.
He just posted a direct quote from Gina. But here. here is a direct link from an interview paul sage gave.http://dulfy.net/2014/07/12/eso-paul-sage-the-road-ahead-qa-transcript/

Champion System (VR Overhaul Phase 3)

This will replace the Veteran system. This is a system where you are constantly adding points (Champion Points) into passives that will make your character stronger – i.e. critical hit or spell defense. You will add % that will increase these rating. It is a bit like the alternative advancement system (AA) in other games (i..e EQ1, EQ2)
It will be account wide so once you open up the Champion rank you will be able to take these points and apply to other characters. The points you put in one character won’t affect your other characters and there is a built in respec that will be fairly straightforward and easy to get.
Put in an hour and you will get one of those points for example. Experience past 50 are converted into champion points.
Any alts you make will be affected by the champion points already earned on your account. You just cannot earn champion points until you are level 50.
Enlightenment bonus – it is like rested experience so the longer you log off the more bonus you get.
In the Champion system, we will have more gear introduced by seasons where there is no level requirement. They will be harder to get. Season 8 gear will be more powerful than season 7 gear for example but the season 7 gear will be more readily available. There will be a solution for crafting as well.
Champion rating – Look at your gear as well as all your points in the champion system to see if you can take on a certain content or not. The Champion rating will be introducing some divide in the community but it based more on gear rather than your points to make it easier to catch up.
New itemization coming out as well in update 4– New sets coming out, populate bosses with different set pieces.

So we are clear. he specifcally says the champion system will replace the VR system in phase three. with Gina saying Vr ranks are going bye bye. is this proof enough?

God, finally I get some evidence, and it looks great! It will remove the need to play one character through all three factions.

You got evidence a dozen or so posts ago (if you'd read my post, you would have seen that Gina's post was a direct quote with an accompanying link), but whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

I've been browsing these forums for almost a year, and there are quality posts to be found. Sadly, most of them are buried in the endless threads demanding that [x] class be buffed or nerfed or eliminated or changed or whatever-the-flavor-of-the-day-whine is.

The community in the game? Fantastic. The community on the forums? One of the worst I've encountered in gaming.

Well the pre launch forums were worse. if you even posted one thing negative about the development cycle or pointed out some holes in the design you would get a warning. I was given a couple warnings that were absloute horse poo, then banned for making a joke about someone spending more money in a bar in one night then he would for a year of ESO. Id rather them do nothing then sensor the vocal community who want the game to get better not praise them for dev badges

Also if you want to play the seniority game I've been browsing and posting on these forums for over a years time and have seen it devolve into what it is now. Even during beta there wasn't this much whine going on.
That's still not an excuse for community managers to refuse to manage the community.

They manage the community on these forums when they have to, but we can't blame them for preferring to deal with the more civil and constructive parts of the community more often, even if they are on fansites or Reddit.

This VR14 issue has been festering for two days and there's no sign of any acknowledgement or discussion about it.

... *gasp* TWO whole DAYS? :open_mouth:

Lol, well this went further than i thought it would and not as far as i thought it would at the same time... Still no forum manager or dev comment, and turned into an argument about the system going away, i guess i should have used a different topic to highlight lmao... Guys this conversation has gone way off topic, for the most part. Some people are actually making good points about the original topic and some are just arguing about the veteran system stuff. I'm more or less concerned about the lack of communication. And the base of it is, that ZOS comes out of the cave swinging bats of information one day (quakecon) then completely discloses all information for the next couple of months. Realistically what i was getting at was i was hoping my $15 a month would at least get me information or a response to incorrect information at least and that is not occuring. Do i need to pay more for it? Cause if thats the case i will. This is more or less what i am getting at, i want to know theories and directions that even the player base can get to add or constructively criticise why or why not something would work. And of course devs could also get ideas... The first day of a business class i took i was given the most important lesson of my life, "Businesses and people that fail to innovate, will fail" and personally i dont want this game to fail, but i would like to participate in its success.

    2. The developers' job is not to sit you down on their knee and reassure you that nothing's ever going to change.

I saw... let me think here... about 3 threads dedicated to the "issue" of the VR cap being raised. In the only one of those threads that presented a poll, an overwhelming majority of players didn't care about the cap being raised.

I'm sure that for the very, very small minority of people who don't understand how level-based MMOs work, this is a very serious issue. But they don't represent the majority of the community.

Well, that's a blatent lie. Over 50% of people polled disliked the VR increase. 10% are going to quit over it and 10% are undecided whether or not they're going to quit.

Tamriel Foundry has dozens of posters decrying the change. Reddit has even more.

You're just plugging your ears and yelling if you think this isn't a big enough issue.

They won't listen. They'll never listen. They must experience for themselves what is about to come. So let it go, let them go. It's a pointless endeavor anyways. Relax, lean back and enjoy the show. And while you're at it, prepare a bucket of toldchasos.

Lol, toldchasos? is that a typo or have i been away for that long?

Also i would love to sit back and let it happen, however i really want to see this game grow, they got a good combat system, considering the fact that they refuse to either cap or get rid of damage reduction skills, other than that the game has a great base and needs to evolve into something even better. I would prefer to be involved into something better considering i have played MMO's for well over 14 years, i may not be a developer but do have some great ideas to fix the game and sadly can't get anyone to listen. @ZOS_PaulSage‌ did state that when they are the quietest thats when they are listening more, however it just doesn't feel like it, and leaving your paying customers in the dark is a bad business move no matter how you look at it.

I've been browsing these forums for the past few months and there are many quality, constructive posts. You are simply incorrect on this matter. Perhaps because your own posts are full of name calling and vitriol you're projecting this behavior onto other posts.

Go talk to anybody in game or on other forums and ask them about the official forums. If you listen closely you can hear their collective sigh. You may have convinced yourself the norm that goes on on these forums is constructive but most would disagree. So, you're just saying that they'd rather post in a forum that someone else [Reddit] manages, than post in a forum they have to manage?

Personal opinion here: I'm under the impression that at least some of the trouble here stems from the fact that they don't post enough here as it is.

If they posted more primary info here - there wouldn't BE so many other avenues that are turned to by the player base looking for info.

    :)

Chicken an egg. Do Zenimax not post on their own forums because of how upset people are, or are people upset because they don't post on their own forums?

So either the handful of people whose literal jobs it is to inform the community about the game can start posting more, or the thousands of players who pay money to play the game need to deal with poor customer service until enough time as passed such that they get rewarded for their complacency.

I understand your outlook but more often than not when ZOS attempts to communicate with the players that frequent the official forums it usually devolves into lots of rude comments thrown at the developers. Also they are community managers, that means the entire community, not just the official forums.

Put yourself in their shoes, which part of the community would you rather interact with? The part that is civil and treats you like a human being or the part that does very little outside of complain and toss around extremely rude and insulting things comments about the devs. This isn't specifically an issue with these forums as much as it is a problem with the people that take advantage of their anonymity to be the biggest possible a**hat they can.

They did have communication at one time, but it was bugged like everything else and never fixed. I mean Zenimax is ran by Matt "freaking" Firor, the same idiot that messed up DAOC because of a failure to communicate with customers.

They post here disproportionately less and actively ignore pressing topics on all channels. I don't care if I have to read it on someone's personal Facebook page; I'm still waiting on a discussion about the VR level increase. I want them to say "we are definitely going to implement it even though most of you don't like the veteran system and will will definitely not be providing any sort of compensation for wasted crafting materials."

Still beating that dead horse? Honestly? You're not going to be "compensated" for your "wasted" crafting mats, nor should you be. Perfect example of the entitlement issues on these forums.

Besides it's been what, two days since we learned about them adding new vet levels? It's not hard to figure out why they are doing it and maybe they didn't expect to have to spell everything out for people without using big words. Then again maybe that is a mistake on their part.
