What happened to the decisions to abolish the veteran system?
No changes occurred like Zenimax stated they would do, and now becoming max rank will be even harder and more of a grind than it already was. I'm fine with vr14, ONLY if they revamp veteran ranks like they said. otherwise, we don't need them, we can just have lvl 50 be the highest, and have a rewarding max rank system like the champion system referenced at Quakecon. I would prefer this for sure.

✭Where did they say the champion system was coming with update 4? people are foaming at the mouth from the quakecon reveal thinking just because they showed it there that it was all right around the corner... not how things work.
The VR increase is to coincide with the increase in difficulty with the new content. We aren't close to the champion system.

They're getting rid of Veterain POINTS in favor of using XP for Veteran Rank progression. The Champion system will be in addition to Veteran Ranks once it's rolled out.

The final result of those changes isn't entirely known yet.
