    the only way i see out of this mess is to change the actual rares to being Earned through end game PVE,and alliance point vendors with some sort of weekly cap as to mitigate exploiting. Crafters scream" i don't wanna pve or pvp to craft"!

    The reverse argument can be said for the Pure VP'rs and PVE'rs that didnt bother with the Bull dung time sink of Research. Or node farming low level zones for refinement. they should not have to craft to PVE or PVP.

    I say this as a i do both. I only craft when i have to, People will charge 15 to 20 k for 8 trait sets in white. claiming the research time makes them valuable. which is fine. but it cant be a one way f ing street. If you want to sit there and farm money of the new player base or people who didn't get all traits that's fine. But you should be forced to interact in a fashion where your reliant on the population .not just feeding on them.

    Remove the purple and gold mats and throw them in end game boss loot tables , the pure crafter can buy them form the PVE/PVP players, or actually learn and do the F ing content them selves.I think it is ridiculous you can make the very best items in game with out actually doing any of the damn content. Its a horrible horrible design for a theme park MMO. It eats itself on a continual basis and punishes a large majority of it's player base for actually doing the content.

    I dont care if PvE drops good gear , there should be ALWAYS a path to best gear by just crafting away , that is one of this games premises and one of the devs promises even before this game got out.

    One would hope they would keep their words (not that they didnt already ,but anyway).

    Would be trully annoyed to find out they are giving the craft path the shaft over end game PvE group stuff.

    Well they never said it would be best in game in all defense they said it would be powerful ,worthwile and viable.

    The way to do it is to blend them currently there is zero incentive to do the PVE once at end game its a damn shame, it truly is. it has completely destroyed longevity and rewards of PVE . Sorry but actually doing the content should reward the players for doing it.

    right now the game is structured 1 to 50 save your rares hit VR1 go right to craglorn grind to 12. go back to Lower Vr zones ping away on nodes with no challenge or consquence refine craft your armor and say sionara to all the content.

    then that same player base that never learned the mechanics bothered to group ,make friends or interact witht heir guild jumps intot the group finder waits hours . then fails miserably. Then hits the craglorn channel looking for group gets rejected due to build. Promptly runs over to the forums and screams about how hard it is,that their build is not viable(which is the dev's fault not theirs) and demands the content be nerfed.

    Does that sound like a receipe for longevity?

    Well , the recipe where only a very small part of the player base gets to the top because the rest doesnt take part on said end game group content worked once , then failed multiple times. Does that sound like a recipe for longevity? WoW is the most played MMO , i wont deny that , but the others that followed by just copying a very small part of the recipe didnt quite get there.

    Nobody is saying this content shouldnt drop good gear or even also the best gear in the game , BUT it shouldnt become something that is do it or be made hostage of those that do to get said gear.

    Sure , drop it here AND leave it another paths for crafters to make without having to do it also.

    Giving options so that everyone has a way it is key to keeping many players. The game cant offer a path for everyone ofc , but the more they open , the more they will reach.

    Well , it certainly is biased to the other side of the street isn't it . you would not have to do it, you could buy your rares just like people buy 8 trait sets. And there is *** ton of people in V12 content. im not saying limit the stuff to trials.

    put the purples in four mans and rare chance of gold. this system is broken and the game is emptying out. the two major issues. Balance Melee / armor set ups. and a completely beta end game with poor itemization.

    No one is saying crafting should not be powerful, and hell if you wanna spend 15 bucks a month to not play the content thats your choice. no one is saying you should not be able to play crafter on line. but you certainly should have to interact with the community that does rather then feed of the churning player base.

    Right now ESO's end game = dont play the actual content just harvest and craft.

    Geez I feel so jealous, downloading the PTS takes so long. It took 3 hours for it to get to 20% so it's definitely bad internet.
