Placing forward camps on the new campaigns ...

Anyone else having issues placing forward camps on the new campaigns?
The past two times I've been in Cyrodiil, I've had to spend about 10 minutes apiece just looking for any real estate to put the camp down near a keep or resource. In walking around the area, I always get the message that I'm too close to another friendly forward camp. That's after triple checking the map to make sure there were no other friendly forward camps nearby. I can say that it is not an issue with having too many forward camps already down for the faction (I've gotten that message, too).
By the way, I'm on Chillrend [NA].
(I sent in a bug ticket in the game ...)
My sorc is getting ready to ultimate the next available friendly siege merchant.
