My experience with the Guild Store.

My first try at using the Guild store sucks so far. The search part went OK. I found what I was looking for, price seemed great for the crafting materials. So I bought $6000 gold for them.

After I ordered the items, it took me awhile to figure out where the items were. I didn't realize the ESO uses the email system with no identifying tags as to where the attachments came from? Ok I can live with that knowing that as soon as I buy something it will be mailed to me. Stupid solution to a simple system, but I can deal with it.

The second time I decide to buy some high end chest armor from the same guild in Anvil. They had actually exactly what I was looking for at an excellent price. So then I decided to hey, lets see the quality of the light armor and yes I was impressed again. So I bought another piece of armor.

Been checking my email now to 15 minutes and no mail? The first time the email was quick, but now I'm still waiting. Finally after 20 minutes I get my items I ordered. I did a bug report, thinking that I was screwed. I'm not blaming the guild at all, they have to use the system ESO created.

Why doesn't ESo just use the same system as the NPC vendors; that is when I buy something, it goes immediately into my inventory, and give me an option to sell the guild the items that they are looking to buy at their price.

One optional thing i would also like to see implemented: next to the price there is a percentage of how high or low above the average price that the other guilds have been selling the same item for, and the rarity among the guild store that item is; for example:

Name Time Left Price Mean Rarity

Dwaren-Steel Pauldron of health 27 Days 150 80% 10/200

So this item is sold at 80% of the average cost that the other guilds are selling and the Rarity shows that only 10 guilds are selling this item and a total of 200 of this item is available.

A unique item crafted by the guild would have a Rarity of 1/1 and a Mean of 100% showing the player that this is a really rare item that may justify the high price.

This is my take on what the Guild Store should be like.

What they should do is simply delete an item once it's purchased from the guild store and give you a copy in your inventory. Instant delivery.

As for my experience with guild stores, I can't find a VR1 armor glyph anywhere, and if I do it requires a search of every guildstore in every zone. Most materials for crafting are readily available, along with some set items (not nearly enough, I have a hard time finding those too).

Yea, I see what you mean. You make a point about VR levels. My character is currently at level 43 soem most of the items I need are plentiful.

    You stated that:

"What they should do is simply delete an item once it's purchased from the guild store and give you a copy in your inventory. Instant delivery."

That's how I believe it should work also when I was referring to the NPC vendor stores.

What a crap system, I want a particular piece of kit, so i have to visit each and every guild vendor AND fill in that stupid form each time, why doesn't the form entries stay in memory until changed, or am i missing something?

If you as you should belong to few trading guilds and just switching between them the form you have filled applies to all of them.

As for delivery by mail, if you haven't got it right after buying - relog and it'll arrive to your box for 100%. Much quicker than waiting.

While I agree the waiting sucks at time, I like the email system for this. I can buy 70+ breakdown items and leave them in my email until I want to deconstruct them.

Some have speculated that this may be a result of a flaw in the way the software is set up, that the developers may simply not have been able to get the guild functions to play nice with the existing vendor system--and so they resorted to a kludgy email solution similar to the way the system handles hirelings.
As for my experience with guild stores, I can't find a VR1 armor glyph anywhere, and if I do it requires a search of every guildstore in every zone.

It's funny, I had the EXACT same experience last night. There are very few VR1 glyphs in guild stores, which sucks if you're trying to make VR1 gear in Coldharbour and can't get to a vet zone. Someone could probably make a killing on them by stocking them at one of the Coldharbour guild vendors.

Between addons Shopkeeper and AwesomeGuildStore, using guild stores works well for me. Delivery is a PITA, but blame that on the Cluster-[blank] mail system. I recommend both those addons.

Email me what VR1 glyphs you guys want (Level, type, etc) and when I get around to crafting, I make some. My VR5 character finally made it to level 45 in enchanting after 280 hours of game play. Everything except the last level 50 passive is selected.

It probably related to the way that expired items are returned to the seller, via email. I can see a few reasons for this, for one, if someone's bag is full, how would the game just put the expired item back into the player's inventory? Anyway, they did not have to reinvent the way the Guild Stores operate to make the Kiosks.

Some other benefits to having purchased items emailed:

This allows people to buy more than they can carry, because some bargains are just too good to pass up. So, they can get the email and let it sit there for a while until they make space.

This also allows a richer alt to go out on shopping sprees for the poorer characters in the list. Buy with the rich character, log on with the poor character.

There are too many good things that the email system brings to the process to eliminate it.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I have to agree with those. Also, if I'm on an alt and I find reasonable items that my main will use (like fishing bait), I can buy it and then just take it off the e-mail with my main later without endlessly shuffling inventory.

I actually went on a shopping spree this weekend as I decided I was going to get a Sanctuary set. Since I'm familiar where the traders are and which ones have the good guilds, it was fairly easy to find enough pieces to get the set bonus at reasonable prices.

I absolutely recommend AwesomeGuildStore, particularly if you are looking for something specific (ie, Vet1 glyphs), as it allows you to save several searches and just switch back and forth between them.

Mailing the purchase is actually making it easier for you and eliminates a different sort of complaint.

You do not have to worry about a full inventory when purchasing from the guild store. This means you get the item rather than having to exit, clear inventory space, open the store and find the item, and then purchase it again.

You can purchase something for an Alt without having to put it in the bank or clear bank space.

Also since the recent changes to enchanting inspiration, there are a lot of people (me included) who particularly look out for white glyphs at a competitive price for decon in order to level their enchanting skills. You could easily use up a massive stack of Ta making useless white glyphs and people like me will buy them as long as they are not priced too high.

White glyphs for decon, not a great deal, it's more to get rid of the stacks of Ta and 1-3 potency runes that you no longer use yourself whilst making a little cash and helping out another enchanter. My personal limit to buy is under 100g per glyph (more around 50g each is what I particularly look out for, that would still be 500g to you if I bought 10x white glyphs from you, made with runes that you probably no longer have a practical use for - money for old rope!), but others will pay more and some won't pay that much. Bear in mind that players can buy an unlimited number of white VR1-3 glyphs for decon from a vendor (as in an NPC vendor) for 217g each, so if you price them higher than that, you will never sell them.

Good quality glyphs for use rather than decon can sell for much more, If you are a high level enchanter then get all your trade guilds to put a member note next to your name that you are a high level enchanter and will take commissions for glyphs, then it is up to you to agree a price with the buyer. Gold runes made to order for high level characters can be pretty expensive.

Are you on the US server? If so I will do, my enchanter (who has been behind all game until update 4 and is still catching up!) needs to get from enchanting 34 to 35 to be able to take the next potency passive to supply my main, so that would be very useful :)

I sent this as a bug report & feedback in the game as well (150524-000455/150524-000457). I'm frustrated enough to post it here as well.

Note: Not a single add-on that I've tried has worked to alleviate these issues.

The Guild Store system has to be the single worst trade/auction system I have ever seen in an MMO. I have tried numerous times today to have the guild store search only list items of Legendary quality and it pulls of the entire list of products offered by whatever guild(s) I'm searching through. The pricing search feature is no help, nor is trying to search by the item type. Every time I attempt to conduct a search with specific parameters, it goes through the entire list and then only shows me the very last page of items for that guild which always includes a ton of items that don't even fit within the parameters.

    Key Points:
    - The search system is ridiculously slow and not even worth the wait for the searches. This is likely why purchasing/trading on the guild stores is next to nil. No one wants to sit for 5+ minutes (per guild search) only to end up with results that don't even match their search request. (I just spent about 45 trying to find a single item in 7 different guilds. Waste. Of. Time.)
    - None of the parameter options even work. You can ask it to search for only Legendary items or only recipes, but it will always give you about 15-20% of what you're actually looking for and the rest is junk that you have to sift through.
    - I recommend implementing interactive headers to make the data showing organizable by the column headers. That will help a little.

    My primary recommendations:
    - You have a fantastic game with amazing server power. Use some of that to boost the effectiveness of the guild store searches so they don't take so damned long.
    - Add the interactive headers to sort data.
    - Fix the search parameters so they WORK!!!
    - Add a marker to the map indicating where guild store-fronts are located.

    Additionally:
Please add a text search feature for the guild store UI. One that works when you're searching guild store-fronts, not just the guilds you're in. That would make everything SOOOO much easier!

Install Awesome Guild Store. It solves most of the problems, although the shaky foundation shows through in a few places. The database powering the guild stores and guild banks is slow and badly coded, and the UI for the external guild stores (the ones where you are not a member) lacks even the most fundamental search and sort options. An add-on can only add a coat of paint, not rebuild the house.
