I am a VR4 vamp sorc.... i am used to playing with pet in PVE, which i wont use in Pvp. My Pve build/sets are high crit but i will change to something else for pvp, maybe use seducer. Should i use Mage (Inner Light) or is everyone wearing impenetrable. In PVE i think i do very well, i rarely die, even get do stupids and live. Any way, here is PVE build and if anyone has comments on what to replace inner light & clannfear with its appreciated:

Resto staff:
1. inner light (mage light morph) (probably should go for pvp if most wear impen)
2. Streak (bolt escape morph)
3. Dark Deal (exchanges stam for magicka)
4. Rapid Regeneration (regeneration morph) ( if healer can use
5. Unstable Clannfear (pet must go for pvp)
Ult) Soul Assualt (soul Strike morph)

Destro staff:
1. inner light (mage light morph) (probally should go for pvp if most wear impen)
2. Endless Fury (Mages Fury morph)
3. Elemental Ring (Impulse morph)
4. Critical Surge (Surge morph)
5. Unstable Clannfear (pet must go for pvp)
Ult) Devouring Swarm (Bat Swarm morph - only decent vamp skill other than sneak)

that is probably 3 or 4 skills that need replacing. Maybe ill keep endless fury both bars. Add either some shields, CC or some mines to replace other stuff. I never liked crystal shard much because it take so long to cast i only used it on the opening attack anyway heavy attacks damage cost 0 Magicka, damage all most as much and don't use slot on my bars so have never used crystal shard but it is leveled.

i have duel weld mostly leveled with Rapid Strikes but i cant see not wearing all light and replacing either the destro or resto staff. i did use duel weld all mostly with resto in Pve levels 30 thru 50, but i now feel about anything works pre vets zones.

my Alliance skills are close to 0. i don't even have enough points to change alliances & i think i am in the 7 day campaign which is completely controlled by another faction.

If pvp is nothing more than find a vamp/sorc/heal train & group and run around spam ult & impulse not sure if that sounds fun but maybe ill give it a try. I haven't had much luck in small groups when around lvl 40, again i only tried that about 3 or 4 times .... Maybe now i am at least avg PVP powerful now with a decent build but the whole massive scale for Pvp just doesn't appeal to me, but i want to like it. I am trying to keep an open mind, so any tips appreciated.

I did have friend once who liked pvp and it was fun when grouped with them but i died alot and felt weak ... i was level 40 then and pvp is much different now.

If you're not in the upper Veteran levels you will feel weak because your stats are far weaker than those max level. I can't speak much to a sorc build, but if you don't want to get involved in the big pvp battles try finding a couple of people to pvp with and hang out on the fringes of where battles usually take place. You can also try holding a gate/bridge until a whole lot of people get there. You're more limited in that role, but can still have fun.

    staves!!!!! :(
    just teasing. :)
most sorcerers I meet use crystal frags, mages fury, surge, bolt escape, and impulse. They seem to do well. though you could always say "screw society" and run a 2h HA sorc like I did:)

As said above, until you reach the higher Vet levels you will be comparatively weak in PvP bec of their much higher stats. At VR6 I'm just starting to feel I'm hurting people (also learning more about how to do things in PvP helps - have made just about every mistake possible I think ;) But there are 2 skills anyone can use that make PvP a giggle when you can access them: Meteor and Volcanic Rune. Both have AoE knockback, are ranged, and are good for sieges (and zergs).

Ok i will get Fire Rune, crystal frags and maybe a weakness fire, shield or armor buff. I just keep mage light on my destro bar and boot the clannfear. Still not sure about crystal shards, it takes so long to cast but i will get the passives for it and see if i like it better.

I am stuck in the 7 day campaign which is over run by another faction & completly empty (AD) but ill do daily's there until i get 15000 more AP points and switch to the 30 day campaign because faction EP controls more often and it has more people in it.

I read up on pvp after i posted this and i guess i need to do 10 daily missions and i will level. I just started Caldwells gold in PVE, but i am a bit burn out questing so i try the pvp with open mind.

    Thx for the help !!!!!

You aren't going to be much of a healer with that setup, and you aren't going to do much damage to the v12s that dominate most campaigns because you are still using bolstering. I suggest you go full healer and use your bolt escape to position yourself safely. Get your rank up and get a couple alliance war skills, and between those and heals you will have a positive impact for your side in a battle.

Or you can try to dps and accomplish very little...

As a level 48 sorcerer I still do pretty well with dps vs veterans. I would recommend the crystal fragmentation morph a lot. Use endless fury till crystal frags procs then hit them with the instant cast.

As a v12 Vamp Sorc my main DPS bar looks like this:

    1. Pulsar
    2. Crushing Shock (CS)
    3. Crystal Fragments (CF)
    4. Streak
    5. Endless Fury

    Ults: Batswarm + Negate

My second bar is full of buffs, shields, heals and such...

I sit at 25% spell crit which I think is alright against people who don't stack Impenetrable. I personally don't bother stacking high crit as I prefer variety on my main DPS bar and as people said more and more have impen traits

CF + CS with weaving of light attacks provides the best ranged DPS in the game. Endless Fury gets me tons of kills and helps finish off those tough DKs and Templars when they make the mistake to let their health drop to 20%.

I'll give you two very simple, common sense tips that will make a huge difference as you gain experience:
    1) Whatever load-out you go for, make absolutely sure you keep Streak on your main bar. It's not an escape ability, it's the best offensive ability in the game. You'll thank me in time
    2) Equip a Sharpened Lightning staff. Preferably the one from the Wrath of Imperium PVP set, if you can get your hands on it. Disintegration passive and spell penetration FTW

Oh and the most important thing: find a good group to attach yourself to. Their help and advice will help you improve a lot faster. Not to mention they'll probably save your bum a good few times :)

Devouring Swarm is a terrible choice for anything other than a DK. The only bat swarm for a sorc is Clouding Swarm.

Explanation: When invisible you can't get single targeted. Which means no Silver Bolt one-shots. DKs don't have that problem as they use Reflective Scale, but Sorc's don't.

I still run inner light as a good number of ppl don't use enough impen in pvp.

Streak is good, endless fury/shards is what you will be using a lot, crushing shock works, negate for ulti. I would also suggest keeping a shield or healing spell on your resto bar as you can use it to build ultimate and live a little longer. I'm not a vamp, but bats are a must if you have it.

Ok great tips .... ill retried crystal shard (with the insta cast morph) and it is much more effective in PVP. I also hit Rank 5 last night. I craft alot so my armor / weapons can be purple gold with any matched set, Other than Gold/Purple staffs last night i was using armor with only blue willow set match on shoulders, chest, feet and pants with the remaining armor pickups. Think i wore a med hat, just to level medium armo,r so my equipment was only good.

I pvp'ed last night and it was fun. Was using the build:

RESTO: inner light - streak - mages fury - rapid regin - equalibrium (soul assualt ult)
DESTRO: inner light - mages fury - impulse - crit surge - Deadric mines (Devouring Swarm ult)

i died more than i lived but i got the 20 kills. EB pact was defending a small gate and AD was attacking with a bigger force so i was a bit reckless at times to get any kills. Any way it was fun, and thank you for the tips.

I am in Ebenheart Pact and can soon change campaigns ... should i choose the 30 day campaign. I am in the 7 day campaign now which AD controls 95% but it is fairly empty too. i want to be able to do the daily missions which ever one i join.

I know and i probably agree, but i am not re-specing just to change morphs for awhile. I have only done one respec when they were free. If someday they lower the cost just to change a morph ill try it, in the mean time ill give it a try if i ever level a vampire on PTS. Thanks.

In PVE, I hardly use my ult, i just save it for emergency's. Also since ESO VR zones were nerfed, i really dont need my ultimate. I did use it some in doing the quest in cyrodiil because the VR seemed tougher than they are in PVE.

I would become better at PvP as a high level character if there wasn't so many bugs in Cyrodiil (FPS bug, random crashing in the middle of sieging, etc.) but I am not complaining, I still love PvP in ESO

The worst thing is that anyone not at level cap cannot properly enjoy pvp either if they want to do it full time or as a break from pve. I thought the non-veteran campaign meant there would only be non-veterans in there but alas...

That is one of my biggest PVP complaints is every thing is large scale with player who is not high level at a huge disadvantage ... the first 2 weeks i didnt play pvp instead i crafted/quested. After that everyone was Vet and i felt like target for people to farm. Just reached Level 5 and found i was somewhat competitive the other night.

Anyway they should zone pvp at levels something like 10 -30, 30 thru 50, vet1-5 Vet 6 -10 and Vet 11+. Also some sort of 1 vs 1 & 2 vs 2 dueling would help beginners ... Pvp is so much different than Pve.

Anyway at least i had fun the other night. It was the 1st Pvp that didnt turn me off. Pre & low vet i just stomped and found that no fun.
