How to change Email?

Hi I was wondering if theres anyway to change your registered email at all to another one?

Oh, but isnt the forum a different account than the game account, cause my forum has the email I want but my account email is something different atm and wanted to change it

Contact support. Email tied to account is a major security feature, thus it cannot be changed easily.

You seem to be right. I found the account page. Launcher, Account brings you too:
https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/users/account
You can change alot, but oddly not the email.

For some reason support is asking me for various personal info just to change my email address.. is this legit cause no other online game ever says not to give anyone answers to the questions this one is asking me?


1.Either one of the below Payment Methods:
Last 4 digits of the credit card number.
Paypal Invoice ID.
Complete Game Time code/Promo code from a copy of the game.
2.The Answer to your Account's Secret Question.

Its to protect your account. ZOS does not know you as a person, only as an email address that is tied to game account. Changing email tied to the game account is virtually the same thing to them as changing game account ownership. If changing the email tied to game account was easy, it would be easy for someone to steal your account.

Therefore they go to extra length to make sure the person who requests a new email adress to be tied to the game account is the same person who owned the old email account. Thus, lots of personal questions.

The Secret Question sole purpose is to verify you are the owner if they cannot rely on your mail adress for the verification. Like they cannot if you want to change the mail.
It is part of the security trinity: Password, Email, Secret Question. You need 1-2 of them to change any one of them.

Billing inforamtion is also something only the owner should easiyl know.

One time I called in for help, they asked me what the Secret Answer is. I asked them, "what's the question", they would not tell me. I told them I can't answer a question if I don't know what the question is. Lucky the billing information was enough to get the issue resolved.
