The first thing you need to do is educate yourself as to what freedom of speech actually means. And then learn when or where it applies.

Hint... A privately owned establiment is not covered. Try walking into a local business, drop the F-Bomb (with or without a courtesy warning), and see how far Freedom of Speech helps as you're being escorted out.

You're free to say whatever you want. You're also free to be dealt consequences of such actions. :-P

The game is rated M, for mature, and the game also has a handy dandy profanity filter. Anyone who does have a problem with profanity can easily switch that on. Other games have also had this feature and have also given warnings to those reported for profanity. It might not make sense, but... that is how it is unfortunately.

At any rate... if it's in the terms of service, well... it's in there. And you accepted them so... there it is.

ZOS wouldn't be able to jail you for "dropping the f bomb"- they can regulate what you say on their forums. That's your first amendment right.

Edit: I'm not American so someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this has always been my understanding.

Your 1st Amendment rights have not been violated. They protect you from the Government not a private company's forums in which you agreed to their terms when you created your account.

No, this is the Internet, not America, First Amendment doesn't apply. You agreed to terms of service, so don't violate them, and if you do, don't gripe about it.

freedom of speech is only protected in a public forum. This is a private forum and they can set any rules they want, sort of like dress codes in private establishments.

I could start a restaurant that required you to cuss and required you to be naked if I wanted to, just like you could start one that required you to be clothed.

Its your choice to participate or not.
