Feedback regarding game installation time/data

Ok so, today I got a new machine. Pretty spiffy rig, maybe one step under beast mode right? Competent and strong.
This game has been installing/updating for almost four hours already.
Windows took 15 minutes (1 hour if you count the 158 updates), just saying.
And I am only at 19%
I think the basic point is do you really have to completely reinstall the game for every update patch? So far I have downloaded and repatched over 80 gigs of data.

Six hours for a 4 month old game is a little extreme dont you think? Total data transfer - 136 GB
Size on disk - 39 GB
