Finished Cadwell's Gold... now what? (solo player)

I've leveled two characters the slow way by finishing quests. I have a Nightblade and Dragonknight.

I hate following the trains in group dungeons and prefer to go it alone when I can. What are my options?

I got my feet wet in Craglorn and aside from a couple of times when I had an Ultimate ready I got totally owned.

Where is the content for solo VR10 + players? Is there any or is this the end of the ride for a solo player?

ps. this isn't meant to be a sniping attack or threat to leave just an honest and sincere question, is there anything left for me?

EDIT: After having seen the preview video for the next major update I am dismayed that solo content is being neglected and group content seems to be the focus.

Not really. The upcoming Wrothgar is a Solo PvE zone, but that's not in the immediate future.

If you haven't gone to cyrodiil, that's about all that's left. You can do all the dungeons and the few cities that have quests in them. I don't usually pvp, so that was kinda fun sneaking around mobs of other players while doing the quests. Another tricky element!

@whvice, I have already started looking at unfinished achievements and there are a lot.

@eliasadriancombsubm17_es0 Cyrodiil was not fun for me. Maybe it's time to give it a re-visit?

    Thanks both for your comments.

I mean it is an mmo, so if you want to continue playing I'd suggest embracing that part of it. That being said, content in general is a bit slow at the moment. If you're not an avid PvP'er (which was fairly billed as the primary attraction for the game), all you've really got end game is trials.

The pvp aspect of cyrodiil isn't my favorite, but the dungeons and quests are fun. You still might not like it, but it's something to try, haha.

It's now a month I'd REALLY want to "embrace that part of it".

Too bad in Craglorn it just does not happen, all I can embrace are "LFG Hircine grind / Anomalies grind / Bosses grind".

Trials? Done, farming them is boring enough, getting the random gods to make drop what I need is even more boring. It was better in WoW, one could get the item he wanted if he saved enough DKP. Here you just grind the same crap every day and every day you get totally wrong drops.

To the original poster: leave the game and get back when ZoS will release the quite distant "solo PvE" patch.
It's the only way to reason with MMO companies: hit them where it hurts: the pocket.

There is not much to do apart for a solo player apart from completing achievements and levelling crafting and perhaps trying to engage in the economy.

Run around in Cyrodiil and just do quests, take in the landscape, gank the occasional noob. It's better than any of the other zones in the game, believe me. Especially the dungeons, which are superior to the PvE zone's dungeons by a country mile.

If you're not interested in PvP at all, wait for Wrothgar, I guess.

    Achievements.

No thanks, nobody wants to grind out an achievement that requires you to kill 50k neutrals or some crap.

Well, as it's already been said, you may or may not be interested in all these fancy achievements, plus Cyro PvE(quests and caves) and maybe PvP if you're into this sort of thing.

Also, while I wholeheartedly understand and respect your wish to play solo, I'd still suggest trying some of the group content:) Shy as I am(and believe me, that's very shy), I've found great friends and teammates in ESO and now we spend a lot of our time there running vet dungeons^^ For achievements, fun and occasionally joy of being a smart-ass and showing new people the ropes:P I had been kind of reluctant to do group content myself, but with the right kind of people it's really great fun=)

Not to sound bad here, but the game is an MMO, which is more of a team based and social interaction based game.

I grant you that the main quest is solo. But a lot of my favourite moments in game have come from randomly teaming up with people and my Guilds. And this is from someone who was dubious about lots of people running around in an Elder Scrolls title.

    Get into Craglorn, finish that.

Then start chasing down those pesky achievements like collectables, fishing, monster hunter, go do some veteran dungeons etc.

Then hit PVP, or just hit PVP, i am not much of a pvp player, but it can be a ton of fun in a large group. Even Cyrodiil has 40+ shards and dungeons and fishing etc....
mDKs still need a lot of love!

Teaming up is the way to go. The elder scrolls online is an MMO. Yes the areas can be done solo. But this is not a single player game like the previous elder scroll games were. You cant expect to solo everything and areas like craglorn are designed for groups of players as a form of endgame.
I completed caldwells gold, but its more fun to group up with friends/guildmates and get into that dungeon or kill a few players in pvp.

If you are a solo player you really are going to be at a loss, all you can do at this point is group up or farm and craft.

Let me first say that I too played solo from 1-VR10. It took me well over 400 hours of play time to quest my way to VR10. But when I got it, there was still two weeks until the Craglorn patch. So there really was an initial feeling of "what do I do now"?

I knew I would eventually have to go out to Cyrodiil, if for no other reason than to gather skyshards, but I was having trouble getting motivated for PvP. Instead, I ended up learning to solo the regular non-veteran instance dungeons, well at least some of them. For the ones that I couldn't solo, I volunteered in zone chat to tank/heal for non-veteran players. At VR10 you really only need patience to tank/heal for non-veteran instance dungeons. This got me a bunch of achievements, quests, and skill points. Finally, I did end up doing some veteran instance dungeons, which were much more challenging.

The Undaunted skill tree has a couple (maybe only one now) hidden gems. So unlocking and leveling these new skills, and also leveling other skills that I had not tried on my DK became my primary focus (Mage's guild, Fighter's guild, etc). At VR10, you can grind zombies in Coldharbor, while naked (saves on armor repair), to quickly level, morph, and rank up new skills. The skills only need to be on your main skill bar while killing mobs to get skill XP. The mobs also drop trash loot that can be sold to an NPC vendor for around 3k profit (for a fully loaded inventory). It takes about an hour to fill your bags, and it takes about 4 hours to completely level, morph, and rank up new skills. Using only Pulsar (morph of Impulse) on the destro staff, you can fully level up to five (including an ultimate) other skills at the same time.

If you are short on extra skill points, you can get skill points by completing the group challenges found in each zone's public (group) dungeon. These are the so-called 5-mob public dungeons. At VR10, you can solo many of these group challenges, and for the ones that you cannot solo, it's usually possible to rally support from the local player population (i.e. spam zone chat).

There are of course lots of other things to do, both solo and in a group, and it would be exhaustive to try and catalog all the things to do in the game.

MMO stands for Massively Multiplayer Online does not mean you have to group,
it means you are playing with a lot of people at the same time.
Pvp in eso lets you join in group fights without being in group,so you can go in pvp area and play any time you like.
Craglorn does not allow this it is only groups that can go in there and survive to kill bosses etc, therefore it is only groups that can obtain the riches.
The only problem with this is solo players do not get the chance to get the same riches as groups do hence solo players leave.
Solo players are the players who some times do not have the time a lot of group players do,hence they play solo etc.
What ever the reason players play solo does not matter the fact is without solo players you loose subs when they leave because there is no content for them to play on a level field.
And because there is a lot of solo players out there eso looses a lot of subs in the long run.
So we need more content for solo players as well, so the game can continue to prosper.
Just to say i love this game and will continue to play for a long time to come, but we must look after solo players as well as group.
