Siege decay out of hand?

I understand it's to combat Emp farming, but when I get off a siege for 5-7 seconds to defend myself from a guy on the wall and then turn back to my siege, I feel like it shouldn't have gone from almost full percentage to less than half.

AshTal✭✭✭✭They do seem to die very very quickly. One battle as people come round to burn me and suddenly my siege weapons fall apart. Use to be nice to have oil and while it re-filled cast spells on attackers which now I can't do. It's spells or oil not both.0 -
