How cool would it be if the features of this game were added to a future ES title?!

Seriously, I would love for some of the survival features in this game to be included in a future Elder Scrolls title!

There are certainly some good ideas that could fit into a future TES game.

On the other hand, there are also plenty of things i would *not* want to see in a single player TES game...

Like, incessant whining on the new games' forum? :D How the new single player TES game isn't enough like it's predecessor ESO at all, and they should make this more like that? ;)

AND...don't forget the part even if it turns out to be some sort of online
    co-op
for there NOT to be any impetus or extra bonus for teamwork or GROUPING... (*)

In The Long Dark, danger is everywhere. Canadian developer Hinterland Studios is crafting a survival game that asks players to not only fend off wild animals, but also starvation, fatigue, and the blistering cold.

So a Canadian company made a game based on what it's like for us to live in Canada?

There are a few things this game does right that I think should make it into the next ES game. The combat alone is better than most of the previous games. You remove the limitations required of an MMO, and you'll finally have a decent combat system in an ES game.

I also want to see some of the story lines make into the lore of future games. Some may disagree, but I think it would be a shame to let a lot of the world building go to waste. It'll be interesting to see how they handle outcome of the Alliance War. It'd probably be similar to how they decided all the multiple endings of Daggerfall are canon though. (They are running Elder Scrolls of over Cyrodiil after all.)

Surviving the elements is not something I'd like to see in any ES game, especially as I spend most of my time running around in my underpants... :P :D

It was bad enough doing the quest Garridon's Tears in Oblivion, with the icy mist inflicting frost damage on you while you were desperately trying to find those tiny bits of ice shards that were damn near impossible to see!

How about they actually added most of the awesome features real Elder Scrolls titles had for 20 years in ESO instead?

Instead of making a supposedly "Elder Scrolls" title a real travesty, especially with that semi-legendary "play as you want blah blah" crapola.

How about ESO actually gave real freedom to players to play as they want, meaning making everything possible / feasible, and allowing the use / choice of every skill line (even if you started with some "class").

You know, like... an Elder Scrolls game? And not a "Harry Potters United gathering of mages online".

Man, usually when I really hate a game enough to consider it a travesty, I just stop playing it. Id be a really miserable person if I felt compelled to keep playing and trolling the forums.
One thing I hope they implement would be weapon techniques. I dunno how they would do it while sticking to the traditional ui. Id always start the games with the concept of being a melee combat focused character, then be intrigued by the diversity of the magic abilities, and play as a mage.
