Feedback on reconsidering Steam upgrade to existing players

Can we at least get some official feedback on whether they're going to consider offering a way to upgrade to steam services for existing players.
I don't mind paying a small fee for it, but it really is the primary way I play on PC, including tracking accomplishments, and so on.
I know we got a big fat no at some point.
But I'd like to re-open the official discussion, because I know there are enough players that would like to see some action on this.
Since we already had a big long thread with a bunch of dittos (and too much rudeness), I don't need a super massive thread, I just want official feedback.
