Guild messaging? Is there a feature I can't find?

Hey guys,

I've been trying to send a "group-message" to one of my guilds' members OUT of the chat channel so that offline members get it when they log in, but either I missed something obvious* or that option is not there...

Anybody can enlighten me, please? Many thanks in advance.

* French version of the game here - half the descriptions and "help" are so badly translated they hardly make any sense at all...

    Nope, there is no bulk mail function ...

    There is an addon that allows this: MailR http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info551-MailR-GuildMailBeta.html . Allows you to send bulk mail messages to all guild members, guildies with a particular rank, et cetera (no attachments or COD).

    I'd be careful with that. I know of at least two guild masters who got a warning from ZOS for sending too many mails to guild members in a short period of time.

    They were flagged by the server for spamming ...

    There is another addon that does this. But what it does is pauses after a certain number of mails sent and waits 2 mins before sending another batch then waits again. It does this until all mail is sent.

    You are not "missing" any thing.... We all are, do not confuse this game with a full featured MMO.

    @SirAndy: Thanks for the tip and link, man - and for reminding me the English expression for this, "bulk mail" (French here :smile: sometimes my English fails me...). I guess it means this is another feature the game never implemented then... Sigh.

    I checked the addon you mentioned but couldn't find the info: do other players need to have it installed too in order to get your messages?

    How do addons work for you? I play a very heavily modded Skyrim but Skyrim has always been 10 times more stable than ESO (even with its early bugs) - I must say I'm kind of reluctant to mod ESO, it bugs way too much on its own for me to want to add more uncertainties to it...

    "Full featured"?.. Hehe, nope, I've stopped hoping for that the first week I played it. But "minimum featured" would still be a step forward... :wink:
