Thoughts: Vets only / So pick-up-groups won't get flood with level 10's. // Don't really have to check level before inviting.

Shortness means I can binge play and see if I can get on the leaderboard...and if I miss a few days, I know things will reset soon.

Blackwater Blade: Non-Veteran only Campaign (five-day campaign)

Thoughts: I may play a toon to level 50 just to mess around in this campaign. Could be fun. Place for casual gamers I'm sure. Great idea for ESO.

Haderus: seven-day standard Campaign that anyone can join.
Chillrend: seven-day standard Campaign that anyone can join.

Thoughts: These are going to be your hoppers...hindsight, think i'll switch my vote. I see two of the three factions dominating these, and these campaigns going quiet most of the time.

Only the 30 day is worth anyone's time. A campaign that doesn't even last a week isn't appealing at all.

After that I'll just go wherever the population is, preferably one where DC is slightly lower

I have never done PVP. Is it safe to assume, if I ever decide to try it, that those of you who do would prefer that I not take my veteran alt to the veteran-only instance until I have some clue what I'm doing? Would you recommend a 7-day "anyone can join" one for newbies to get their feet under them? Or would 30-day be a better intro? Thanks.

just go to the big one and you will be fine, as most of the zergers are equally clueless even after months.

Only 30+ day campaigns are worth my time... But I can only imagine how bad the queue times are going to be on Thornblade (gonna make Wabba seem like a supermarket line as opposed to Thornblade's DMV wait times).

This isn't some raid run by elitist 'DKP minus' jerks. Lower level characters are common and its understood that people have differing (and changing!) skill levels.

If you do something and die, not only will noone care, but chances are noone will notice. There ARE elitist snobs here, but by and large they have their own groups in their own VOIPs and you'll never see them except in scroll caps and large siege situations.

I'm surprised they don't do more player-base polling...especially for something this drastic of a change. Two 7-day servers and one 30-day server doesn't seem to make sense.

most who actually want a chance at emp will do the shorter campaigns, knowing that they have a chance to go ham once a week and get it that starting day.

the rest of the competitive players will be on the vet only 5day, because thats where vet groups are assured more quality fights.

zergers will still pick their long campaign, because thats what they are told to do by other zergers.

it seems fine to me. why are you complaining?

No, learn by doing I always say. I'm V12 and I (and many others) would welcome you to the campaign even if you are new and inexperienced. I wouldn't worry about how other players perceive your level of contribution and instead just decide whether a longer or shorter campaign suits your preference.

Where did you get this nugget of foresight from? I don't share your vision, I think the only thing assured about the 5 day campaigns is that they will be the first to be manipulated by large guilds, it will be a collusion playground and an Emperor flipping joke.

lemme get this straight, you think the vet only campaigns will have LESS competitive action than the big zerger campaigns, because you think collusion over emp titles will be some kind of factor in fights? this shows a lack of experience in the topic, and a lack of knowledge about the upcoming emp changes meant to remove the trading.

I don't consider that competition, maybe you do.
I also don't consider who can no life for a week to be meaningful competition, maybe you do.. or should I say obviously you do.

The only truly obvious point to be taken from your super clever reply (and all your comments in this thread) is that you enjoy acting like you know everything.

lol again, emp has no factor on the average pvp fight (unless you are fighting the emp) and most players really dont care about it, including myself.

furthermore, i dont think you grasp the concept here... the first day of the campaign will be the big push, so once a week you have a chance to go hard and get it that day, who care about the rest of the week?

i also couldnt help but notice you ignored the part about them changing the way emp works to remove trading, so i have to assume that english isnt your native language.

So in your infinite wisdom, you must know that you don't even know half of the players or pvpers in the game, never mind "most" of them. So stop speaking as if you do.

Furthermore it is, in fact, you that does not grasp a concept here, which is collusion.
I will assume that you are aware that the emperorship can change hands many times before a campaign ends. When working together two alliances can purposefully flip keeps to one another. If the third alliance interferes, they will team up and zerg them, and then go back to flipping. It's happening right now.

I am unsure of this "changing the way emp works" you mentioned. It certainly isn't the increased AP earned from 10k to 50k, this will merely make it go from 2 new emps an hour to a new emp every couple of hours. 50k is nothing and an experienced pvper like yourself would know that.
If there is another way they are changing the "way emp works" and I am way off about all of this, you have my deepest apologizes.

also, collusion is a part of rvrvr and always has been, its been this way since 2001 in daoc, the game this one was based off of.

in a 3 way fight, if there isnt collusion, you are doing it wrong lol
