Replayable Main Story Questline

Can we get an option to replay the main story questline, ideally like a veteran rank version with vet rank enemies in the quest but even just to replay it as the original level and even with no reward it would be nice to re experience the main story line without leveling up a new character

How about replaying selected quests on a hard mode.

Not going all they way through but good suggestion.

its not a requirement its an option for fun, and if it was simply allowing you once completed to just go back and redo it it wouldnt require much resources for the devs, to make it so that its veteran ranked main story, that would require much more resources

this sounds interesting, but my one concern would be trying to take on VR harvesters solo...

again, one option is to not have it scale, let it be at the original level simply replayable, the storyline was fantastic but i know i missed a lot of detail and dialogue and now i know the end so going back through ill know about almalexia and stuff

What now you tell me that you like the few rewards we got from main story line??

Myself think the rewards from main story line was useless and i out lvl those rewards way to fast story itself was good but reward wise it was not worth get those reward.

Nah, I solo them all the time, even the dolmen ones.

All it takes is some strategy.
They cast an hard hitting spell like storm atronachs but only on a front cone. And they have less health, but they summon those healing "balls".

So, you dodge / avoid the hard hitting spell like you'd do with atronachs or (if you class / skills allow for that) do "something" in order to be behind the harvester when she casts the spell and then the spell won't do anything.

What's important is to train even a weak AoE ability so you can easily deny the harvester its self healing by popping those healing balls, while at the same time healing yourself up.

There used to be a generation of Players who would play to kill, have fun and achievement and friends, and to the curiosity of exploration. People old enough would recall the ancient Bartle Test (see some overlapping with the bolded keywords above?), people would actually post their test score as signature.

These days, achievements are automatically recorded (and you reminded about how cool you are for having slain... 1000 irrelevant mobs).
They give multiple guilds to join to have friends.
They give XP and achievement for exploration and kills.

But no, the "self entitled generation" won't be happy with anything given, they were trained and spoiled since children to "deserve" instant gratification and huge rewards even for the most menial things.

Result: whatever a developer does, the reward is never enough.

So, you facerolled some brain dead mobs set to be 3 times easier than WoW and you ALSO want awesome rewards for that?
Was the story so bad that you deserve almost physical money compensation for having "stuck with it" to the end?
Isn't 250 million spent in a title not enough to create an adventure good enough to be itself the reward? Like is reading a good book? Do they give you cool epics as entitled reward for finishing reading a good book?

Want some fluffy pet dog with that cheese maybe? The Steam one, of course, else you too shall rip your eyes off and stomp your feet on the floor like seen in so many threads in the last days?

Dammit I sorely miss the early 2000, when gamers were completely another thing and 20 million as a budget was plenty enough for a MMO.

NPCs in Veteran zones tell me that I'm missing a soul all of the time.
You are missing your soul. The Veteran Alliances are alternate history. As Cadwell says: "Have you ever wondered what would've happened if you'd woken up somewhere else? Washed up on a different beach? [...] But fair warning - you will no longer be seen as a great champion. Even familiar faces will see you as a soulless drifter, lost in an unfamiliar land."

Which shows how powerful are beings like Meridia.

Hey , how about i toss you in an alternative universe where time is still some months back so that you can live it again but now in another faction?

By the way dont worry , nobody will be able to notice who you are or even that you have a soul , nope , dont matter who they are or how powerful they think they are. (Notice this includes some powerful beings also)

Yeah it had been fun talking with the top Daedra princes during VET levelling up including the "lord of knowledge" :D and no one of them got that I was "impersonating" an avatar of myself or that I was living a sort of "flashback".

I would like to do Cold Harbour again after learning more about the other storylines. I had no idea who half the people were going through it and thinking did I miss something along the way? It's weird when Stibbons who never met previously acted like we're old friends, "do I know you?" and didn't understand his predicament until I got into VR6+ then it all sank in... and I made sure he suffered along the way.

I was really disappointed with the endgame. Finished it about 1/4 of the way through VR1. Was excited to see what else was in store but then spoke to Caldwell and next thing I know I'm transported to Devon's Watch to start the EP quest line! The crappy part is I have an alt that's level 32 in EP right now so I have to grind through countless hours of quest AGAIN! I didn't really know the gripes all the Veterans had with endgame until now! Maybe I will take up the gauntlet in Cyrodil just so I don't have to grind this crap all over again never mind my Level 15 Sorc on DC, really not looking forward to that grind again either.

Would rather not, it's bad enough to repeat the other alliance quest lines, they don't need to make you redo your own. They need to focus on new content, not rehashing old content.

If I remember rightly, Stibbons is met on Stirk by all alliances if you follow Galerion's (rather long-winded) introduction to the "Experts on Coldharbour". But yes, only in the DC content do you properly experience his background.

As an altoholic I have come to really loathe the main storyline. I don't wanna be the Vestige anymore! LOL Plus, I just really don't LIKE ANY of the NPCs in the main story line! I don't WANNA help them! Let me skip it like I can skip the initial Cold Harbor stuff! There's plenty of quests without it for leveling.

I would love this! Being able to repeat the main story at say VR 5 and then again at VR 10 would be awesome! Even just having harder versions of Coldharbor available would be cool.

Personally, I'd like to see the guild quests be repeatable so I could try them scaled to VR levels since I did them all at level. They could create Guild dailies where you earn tokens or something and then you can spend the tokens on gear or cash them in to repeat the Guild quests. Add a difficulty slider so you can boost the mobs even more for more loot if you wish.

Use that same slider tech in all the scaled content so people have options.

Dungeons and Dragons Online doesn't have a difficulty slider, but they let you choose between Casual, Normal, Hard, Elite, and Epic modes with difficulty and rewards scaling appropriately. It works out very nicely, for soloists and groupers alike...

I think you would miss out on several skill points.
