There really should be an option to do a merger.

If you buy the game on Steam, you can access you account, but you'll have an unused Steam key for the game.

Basically as has been stated before ZOS went to A LOT of work to ensure they Screwed over everyone who was not a "New" buyer for steam.

I would also guess, from a business standpoint the suits theory was to make more money by forcing already Subbed members into buying the game again for the dog and steam access. Hence the heavy discount

"Lets make it too tempting to resist and we'll get all the people already subbed who purchased it before "rebuying the game for these unique items and steam access!"

Unfortunately, like most suites in most companies, they assume their consumers are morons and won't spot the BS. Or the Rip Off. Or the obvious intent to mislead, abuse, and disrespect their long time supporters.....

All in the name of profit. Greed is the true evil, and it has destroyed many games, and many companies.

The word is suits, as far as I know office suites don't make decisions.

This thread is so full of paranoid ideation.....
The only thing different, when adding your existing account to steam, is that you don´t get the trading cards. Big thing....whoopie doo...
It has nothing to do with greed, from the developers side, at all.
If you enjoyed the game before, why can´t you enjoy it now, that it´s also sold at steam?
