What Are The Costumes Good For In The Game? ...And Other Things?

In the current game what good are costumes, disguises after use, and trophies--only for vanity? I just got a purple Enchantment costume for reaching VR-2 and haven't a clue what it is good for except leaving me a little naked in the upper chest and arms. It's all golden-colored but the inventory name is magenta and it says ENCHANTMENT but goes no further describing what that means. Nothing to Charge or Enchant in any case. It has no value and you can't even give it away.

Anyway...would there be any harm done if I destroyed it along with what I've done with my CE pet, trophies, and spent disguises? Costumes may only prove I'm not a very happy solo RP gamer in ESO?

Vanity items are quite common in mmorpgs. At some point they want to add dyes to costumes as well so you can customize them even further.

You get the golden saint at VR 2, the Dark Seducer at VR 6 and Mannimarco's outfit at VR 10. Along with the many other outfits you get from quests and such. They're just another way to customize your character if you don't like the look of your armor.

I use my VR6 (Dark Seducer) armor on my Dragonknight.....It covers up his real armor which is VERY ugly......but effective.
