Active Effect - Listening?

Ok, how many of you expected this to be a sarcastic criticism about how attentive our goodly development team is? Shame on you,

No, the question is a genuine one and concerns this that popped up on my Nightblade today:



3rd one down, obviously.... never heard of it, don't know how or why it appeared or what initiated it and it wasn't there when I started today's session. Anyone any knowledge of this effect?

The baloon tip says "Listening". Helpful.

I haven't had time to notice if it affects anything yet but if so, I only have to wait another 136 years for it to end. Or maybe longer... It also seems that there are more seconds in a minute if you're listening. Surely that depends on who or what you are listening to? I don't know what I'm listening to but that icon next to it does not fill me with confidence.

Maybe you've prematurely become the Listener for the Dark Brotherhood and you're listening for the Night Mother's next target.

That's awesome. I take it there is no tooltip when you hover your cursor over the icon?

I wonder if it's for a quest? Like... go spy on these people in the next room / inside their tent, etc. If it is, you better get crackin', you only have 136 years to complete it.

The devs have nominated you as the new social media contact for all the issues presented on these forums. Every new post will be sent directly to your in game mail, and the timer is the dev's estimation of how long it will take to deal with all the gamer rage.

That's what happens when you touch game speed, which means you have been cheating lately...speedhack

It's from a quest it goes away once you finish it. It's the one with the talking crows it means they're listening.

I wouldn't worry about it. It will go away on it's own in 136 years.
