Unexpected error, unknown error, infinite loading screens, infinite request character load, etc....

What the heck is going on today? When I do get on, and I am able to get to my character, I can not use shrines, or I'll get infinite loading screens. Then I have to start the whole thing over again.

... Add logging in timeouts to the list as well...

... And now add Error 301 to the list when attempting to log in...

My brother and I both "Could not retrieve announcements" when opening up the game to log in screen. When you do try to log in, it hangs for like 30 seconds before giving you an "Error: 200" code. Hitting Exit take about 30 seconds for the game to actually close out....

Something is very wrong with ESO today D:

Edit: ESO account page isn't responding.

Edit #2: Account page is now working...

Hey, @1ne2woBe.This may be a connection related issue that can be resolved a number of ways. First we recommend trying the below steps:

    1. Please completely close the launcher, reopen it, and attempt to manually update.
    2. Add eso.exe, the launcher, and account.elderscrollsonline.com as exceptions to your firewall and anti-virus programs.

If the above steps don't resolve the issues for you, please don't hesitate to post here and let us know!

    @‌ZOS_AlvinM

Unfortunately, the recommendations didn't help with this issue.

It seems as though the authentication servers for the US west area are down in some way. The few people I've spoken to who are having this issue are all on the west coast. US East players as far as i know are not having any issue. It is probably even more localized that just US West... Unable to message you, so if you would like more specific details about my location, let me know how to do that.

    UPDATE

I just spoke to a Comcast tech rep and they confirmed there is an outage in the area that will cleared up around 5PM PST.

This isn't a for sure answer but it is something to go by. At least they are aware of the issue. (Fingers crossed)
