ZOS: How you "Should" handle Exploiting

An exploit involving drone damage has been brought to our attention.

We consider this a serious exploit and abuse of it will not be tolerated. There will be repercussions for any user engaging in this activity until the issue is fixed, and this will be our only warning regarding the problem.

Players who’ve utilized this exploit are encouraged to pre-emptively step forward by filing a support ticket under the “exploits” ticket category.

Players who suspect they’ve been on the receiving end of this exploit are also encouraged to file a report in the “exploits” support ticket category.

and this is from a company where scamming in this particular game (EVE Online) is totally legit and within the spirit of the game - seriously

however they have a line, and when that line is crossed they are swift and decisive about it

scamming isn't exactly exploiting glitches. EvE isn't the only game that would enforce this, FFXIV bug exploitation is getting enforced too. The last one I know about was account suspension to those who exploited a monster glitch in one of the new turns of coils, and they also shut off access to the instance until they hotfixed it. At the beginning tho they were as backboneless as ZoS about cracking down on bug/glitch exploitation.

Where is the line between lousy game system and exploit? Agreed about those who use what seems to be a bug. The game already is falling into correlating with buggy. I enjoy the game but it does get frustrating. Exploits mess up balance, thus addressing them faster and decisevly would be positive.
