Bug or something I'm doing wrong

This is related to weapon swapping on my level 17 Templar. I have 3 characters I play regularly and it only happens on this one.
When I weapon swap from destruction to restoration staff, my cursor goes away. When I toggle it back on, I can't target an enemy or cast at all. I'm not exactly frozen in place but am frozen out of most combat type actions.
Usually, popping open and then closing the world map will clear it. It doesn't happen every time but enough to make me stick with one weapon and never swapping for fear of killing myself or another player I'm trying to heal.
I am something of a keyboard klutz and have double checked that I'm hitting the right keys, etc. Happened at the Long Coast Dolmen just outside of Haven in Grahtwood, yesterday. Also happened when I tried to heal my very first dungeon group in Banished Cells a couple of weeks ago, so not related to recent patches I don't think.

✭✭Check your keybinds. This usually occurs when you have the same key assigned to multiple bound "functions". For example you have your weapon swap rebound to "R" but "R" is also assigned somewhere else. Make sure there are no duplicates anywhere in the keybind settings.
I think key binds are character specific, so that's why it only happens on this character.0
