It is insane to use your account log-in for your in-game email address and all characters seem to use the same address and any one of my characters has access to all emails sent to any one of my toons. That isn't really bad but using the account name for email certainly is.
The Chinese gold -sellers and hackers are running on main-frames and using your account name just gives them half the info they need to come in and play your account.
While using account names as ZOS do is crass from a security point of view, your concept of account hijacking is way oversimplistic, account thieves don't use 'password generators' not least because accounts are locked out after a very limited number of failed attempts.Arizona_Willie wrote: »In-game mail should go to the name of the character ... not your account log-in.
