In game and elsewhere. According to this dev post, that is not the case nor have I noticed a difference in CL as well.

✭If you haven't learned already, what they say and what happens are often not in sync. So who knows. Had a guildie that went around aoeing things and was soloing craglorn mobs that previously gave him trouble, so take of that what you will.☠ Is it better to out-monster the monster or to be quietly devoured? ☠
