Craglorn - Was the change of vet mobs strenght intended in Craglorn?

Edit: I was WRONG about any changes in this patch about Graglorn.
I leave my post as it is, since my question about future changes remains.
But like most, I had the wrong information. And I am sorry that I did not check enough before making the post about Graglorn

I stand for what I do, so I keep this post, as it is, but remove my question about Graglorn. The other question remains.

Hi Zenimax!

I am have 2 questions.

Question 1
Graglorn question = Answered. This change did NOT effect Craglorn.
There are Vet 1-4 solo players in Graglorn killing mobs today (not grouped).

Is Craglorn not a high end zone, intended for higher Vets and in groups? I ask because I am looking VERY much forward to experience Graglorn, accordingly to the description. :)

If Graglorn is not a high end challenging zone for groups. Is there another one coming?

Question 2
2. Was this big downgrade of vet mobs, to much, which you may considering changing to a more suitable level (harder, but not has hard)? Was lowering the power of Dolmens, world bosses and "boss camp" mobs intended to be able to solo?

I may be alone in my impression of what I find enjoyable play, but I get very bored if I don't need to use and improve my skills. Move, block, interupt, adapt to different encounters and get defeated from time to time to win battles.
This is the way I learn, so I have a better chance of performing in Instanced dungeons. As it is now, I get no practice or enjoyable play experience at all in open world Vet 1-6 zones. Just pressing buttons and stand still simply makes me bored to quickly. I do enjoy the storylines!

I also enjoy the fact Tamriel is not safe everywhere, that I need to keep an eye "over my shoulder". This is something quite unique to ESO, for me.

I am not an "elite" player. I am avarage at best. I play with casual guildies and friends. Sometimes new people I meet while doing Dolmens, bosses and questing.

I am concerned that I will not reach vet 12 areas, because of lack of interest in fighting enemies. Also, I fear I will severely lack the personal skill needed in order to even take on the harder intended encounters, when I do get there.

I would be very grateful for a clarification of my questions, since I like everything about ESOs "choose your way". As an explorer and long term player, I enjoy every bit of Tamriel! But if there is no danger in exploring, that looses its interest as well.

I just tried a pub dungeon in craglorn or graglorn :open_mouth: it was tough 4 people vr 10, vr9, vr7 and vr4 - the final boss a giant gargoyle named the pillar or something - omg....we could not kill him...it was not him gargoyles are not bad even ones with 60K hp - it was the ads...wave after wave for imps shooting flame rays...and the buggers would not group..if you went after them they flew away....just eating your hp from afar...

I can't Graglorn on my map.
Been here since Feb 2014 - You'd think I'd be half reasonable at this game by now...

Edit: I was wrong about the changed applied to Craglorn.

If they are tweaking it to suit more experienced players, just like I asked, then my question is answered.

Regarding adds in public dungeons or any dungeons. That has very little to do with the strength of the mob itself. That is group tactics and teamwork.

As ESO is right now, a group with "bad" builds and "bad" gear. Like me as a tank in heavy armor. As a group, working together, reacting, using abilities and synergy. Along with adapting to each boss fight, and when we wipe, we have a chat how and if to do something differently.

It works, even with the "worst build" and "worst" gear. Because of the skill that ESO is UNIQUE to offer such impact of. Personal skill. It matters a lot. And you keep learning. Even the "best" player keeps leading and getting better at their person skill.

This fact alone, makes ESO more interesting then any other MMO in the market, for players who likes advancement.

I did ask if this included Graglorn and Zeni Com manger replied it did.

Actually Craglorn was not tuned down, not even touched according to the official Patch notes:

    "Veteran Rank Changes

Phase 1 of our Veteran gameplay changes begins with this patch, the first in a series of changes we'll be making to improve the post-50 experience overall. We've lowered the difficulty of the second and third alliance zones to bring them more in lines with zones from 1-50. You'll be able to continue soloing through them more easily than before, though they'll still be challenging. We have much more information about Veteran System changes on the way, so make sure to watch our site for updates."

And this was confirmed in the forum by admin ZOS_GinaBruno:
"It does include World Bosses, Public Dungeons, and Delves. It does not include Veteran Dungeons or Craglorn. Hope this helps! " (in a reply to the question "what veteran mobs were lowered in damage output and health".)

I stand corrected. I "Think" I saw them answering that Gragorn was included in this big change. I was wrong. And that explains what I dont get any answer to this question, because its answered already.

However, I do fear for future changes in this big scale.

And you are right, since they stated yesterday that the Veteran system will be completely changed:

From July 8th's The Road Ahead:

    "Veteran Rank System

We’ve been listening to your feedback about ESO’s Veteran Rank content. Some of the issues are that it’s too much of a departure from the 1-50 experience, it’s much more “grindy,” it can be too difficult, and the rewards don’t match the effort you have to put in to progress. I’m very happy to say that we’ll be making a series of announcements (starting at QuakeCon) that will address problems with the Veteran System in ESO, leading to a much more compelling high-level PvE experience for everyone.

In the interim, we’ve implemented some balance changes to content in post-50 zones that will make it much more like the content from levels 1-50. Our goal is to remove the feeling of “I have just hit a wall of difficulty” that many of you have commented on—you’ll be able to solo much more easily.

One of the guiding principles of our Veteran gameplay was to encourage people (not force them) to group. We wanted people to be able to solo to max level, but still wanted you to participate in group content. This principle was the reason we made our post-50 zones more difficult; we wanted you to get together with others and take on tougher challenges. But this hasn’t been well-received. Many of you love the game you played from 1-50, and the Veteran-level zones are too much of a departure from that experience. We know you want the ability to continue participating in solo content as you progress through Veteran Ranks. This will occur over time, but the first few phases look like this:

Phase 1: Make sure the difficulty in Veteran zones ramps up slowly and rarely exceeds what a good player can do on their own. This change came to the live servers on July 7th. By the time you read this, you should be able to play Veteran content the same way you played from 1-50.
Phase 2: Remove the Veteran Points system and have normal experience gains direct the growth of the Veteran System. Also, we’ll increase the amount of XP granted in PvP. This will happen at some point over the summer as we transition to the new system.
Phase 3: Introduce a completely new Veteran System based on new character customization and growth mechanics. We’ll talk more about this in the near future—especially during Quakecon—but for now, be aware that we’re going to make some much-needed changes to post-50 PvE gameplay.

The primary reason for making these changes is to ensure that you have meaningful choices in the post-50 PvE game experience that reinforce the design idea that you can play the way you want to play

    ."

This I know, but also, its text and not written anything HOW they will do it.

For example. Giving more power to Vet players each time they "level", is ok, as long as the environment pose a challenge.

Some posted, said this is similar to the changes they did in late may...and then tweaked up the mobs again.

Zenimax do release new content/stuff on regular bases, and I HOPE that this was simply a fast and needed change to keep the most players they could before the quake event.

As late as a week ago, Paul (Creative manager) in a podcast, why all these podcasts and NOT TEXT!!! Stated that they not only have in their 5 year plan but also new things they working on to keep ESO interesting for all ESO player groups.

So far, I have not seen them when they state something FACT, that they dont live up too. I have faith, but......last 2 days, I almost lost the interest in playing. So DAMN easy now... :-(
