but doesn't play how you want mean I don't have to block, dodge roll, interrupt, CC, or consider my approach?

I want to run in head first and just watch things fall over. If I WANT to stand in bad and not interrupt an ability that will kill me I should be able to do that.

    (/sacasm)

cool video though. I think it sums it up nice why some find it easy and others don't. I think the problem is that depth has never really been a part of MMOs, honestly. At least for a while. Too bad the message was sent thats not what people want. Hopefully we find some more in the future.

My guess, too many people are wanting an RPG, not an action game. From what I've seen, the Elder Scroll console player seems to be more inclined towards action games, the elder scroll PC player seems to be more inclined towards RPG. And so far, all the players are (obviously) the PC gamers.

Remember, it wasn't until Morrowind that the various boards on game sites were all full of complaints about how come whether they hit or miss was determined by a roll of the die, and not by whether or not the animation of their sword intersected the enemy model. RPG players expect whether they block, or dodge, or whatever to be based on their characters abilities, not by whether or not they can hit the correct mouse button in time.

That said, my personal complaint is that for an action game, the controls are just too... unresponsive. Seems like way too often I'm trying to trigger an ability or an interrupt, and just nothing seems to happen.

If this is an RP game and not an action/combat game why are there so many synergies between abilities. Why can everyone get access to CC, taunts, heals, damage mitigation abilities. Why would you need all that depth if it was all about the story?

Why do we need them now?

Doubling mobs health after release isn't depth.
