HOW to fix lag since update?????

Since the last 2 updates i am completely unable to play. Setting up a siege takes a VERY long time.. and once it is "up" i have to wait for the graphic to load in order to aim/shoot. This is MANY places in the game.. not only in pvp.. but in the world too.. I will get HUGE lag spikes and in a "clear" area i am now dead surrounded by whatever killed me.. usually they are running back to their starting points when i realize i am dead..
WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX THIS????? MY SETTINGS should not matter one bit.. i was able to lvl up 3 other vet rank characters with NO problems with these exact same settings..

✭there are issues introduced since the 1.2.4 patch as well as from the 1.2.3 patch
right now the only thing that has worked for me is turning the sounds off in the audio menu.
its now a complete fix but it definitly helps and honestly i find it playable like that.
if a bit disorienting due to lack of sound..I play every class in every situation. I love them all.
