I Keep Losing The Quest Focus I Want And I'm Getting Sick And Tired of Something So Simple and Basic

For crying out loud...I am so sick and tired of losing the current quest focus. I keep wandering off following the wrong quest marker or wonder what I need to do next in the quest I'm doing only to discover it not making any sense and realizing the Journal is set to the wrong quest then. THEN I have to fish around for the correct quest I am trying to play out.

WILL YOU PLEASE FIX THIS MESS SO THE QUEST I PICK STAYS IN FOCUS ALWAYS!!!!!!!!!! LIKE IT SHOULD. [Caps off] And when a quest closes don't go jumping automatically to the next quest or if the game has any AI in it the quest you think I should be playing out because the chances are very very great it ISN'T the quest I want to do next. LET ME PICK my next quest. Leave it blank until I pick the quest I want. What is WRONG with ZOS development?

Thanks. Just because I haven't been able to figure out who or what at ZOS reads and responds to forum posts I'm going to cut and paste this whole damn thing to in-game /feedback.

Have you tried some relaxing pvp?

You can just press T until the right one comes up its not a real biggy

    Very funny. :)

I think it is a biggy and more sloppy programming that no one has any interest in caring for because there are so many many more serious problems to somehow try to resolve. 'T' is not the solution. The solution is for the quest not to go wandering off. It can be just as misleading as looking at the map and seeing a list of very brief quests descriptions on the right side.

As far as that goes that reminds me that sometimes I click on 'M' at the bottom of a map to show me the quests location and it beeps at me with an explanation that it can't.

What were you beta testers doing before the game released? Don't answer that. I'm far far far (as many times as I've died in the game) more disappointed in ZOS. But I can't imagine enjoying beta testing the game much when it really was in beta.

Thank you for suggesting 'T'. I'll work with it next time or until this is that last little 'problem' for ZOS to fix in the game.

When you are running one quest the game shouldn't jump out of it for no reason to some other quest--it just shouldn't.

Anyway, it all makes more good feedback for ZOS. Makes me wonder always what sort of progress ZOS is making on the console versions? Can't imagine how they will goof around with the controllers managing two weapon sets, 10 active skills, 2 ultimates, 8 different potions, light and heavy attacks, plus blocking and interrupting. Since it is a finger twitching mess on the PC right now I don't think it will be any better on the consoles but I hope I'm wrong.

Is this really worth getting all worked up over? have you had your blood pressure checked? This just sounds like a reason to be mad at the game unfortunately :(

I did the same thing last night actually, picked up a quest and it automatically made it my focused quest. I realized this halfway there and just... did that quest anyway. In the past, I just changed back to the one I wanted to do and... did that one.

There are quite a few issues going on right now that are in need of being fixed. This one maybe should not be top of the list right now.

Well, since you ask the answer is yes... because I've been playing the game and just ran across two new quests that are broken back in quick succession and so I've got nothing better to do since the game is once again playing fubar on me:

Protecting the Hall: Talk to Hrogar. He won't talk. And Shattering Mirror: Use Altar. I've got the idol and it won't charge at the altar.

So unless you don't have anything more to contribute to my 'trivial' complaints I think we both should go do something better with our time. I've stopped playing ESO for the moment and think I'll go out for an early dinner. How about you?

Oh, I've been working all day at my job, only play a couple of hours a night if possible. I've got a couple of broken quests too, no skin off my back.

Fortunately we have been slow enough for me to screw around here. I will be off for the holiday and plan on enjoying my time with the wife. Have a wonderful 4th!
