2h weapon styles

hey Zos, can you maybe put in just like a normal single target dmg ability for the 2h stamina weapon skill line?

atm I feel like this game just forces me to use the DK fire dmg abilities since the 2h skill line doesn't have many single target damage abilities that you can just spam. Sure critical charge is nice, but it is an initiator. Reverse slash is nice, but it is a finisher. uppercut and cleave are just trash.

Why are there so few options on the 2h skill styles? I mean, 5 abilities and 5 passives? I guess you could say the same about any skill line, but still, I wanted to be a freaking 2handed beast......but this game forces me into being a DK who just spams his fire spells and hits auto attack with his weapons in between spamming fire spells.

To be honest, I feel like I run the 2h just for roleplaying reasons, since I would actually be just as effective in DPSing by just running 1h + shield and spamming fire abilities

If you really wanted to spam fire abilities, you'd go with staff+dress.

As for single-target dps for 2-h line - there are a couple skills but anyway, 2h line is meant to be for AoE damage mostly, if you want better single-target dps with stamina build you need to use dual-wield.

I use Reverse Slash as a 'spam', mixing with 'assassins blade'. While both are technically finishers, providing more damage on low-health targets, using them in rotation eats through a single targets health in quick work.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

    XBOX NA
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

    I do the same thing.

I wish cleave would do more damage instead of applying a bleed. I've found bleeds to be lackluster in general. Still use the morphs for ultimate gain and the shield though, but it's still barely worth justifying taking a place on my skillbar.

This one has an eloquent and well thought out response to tha... Ooh sweetroll!

Did you know that Reverse Slash gains damage constantly as the target loses health, and not just after they are below 25%?

Yeah thought it started getting stronger when the person was below 50%. But either way, it doesn't do more damage than my lava whip or searing strike unless the target is around 30%. I'd imagine if I only put points into stamina that would change, but there aren't enough good stamina abilities for me to use that would justify me putting points into it.

the only 2h styles worth using are critical charge as the initiator and Reverse slash as the finisher. Why would I invest points into stamina to make only those better when points into mana makes everything else better? like ults, a freaking insta heal, awesome cc abilities, buffs, and overall better consistent damage abilities.

I am ashamed to admit that I use 2-handed all through VR and never use any of the abilities. I just love the damage coming out of crouch with the 2-handed with the splash passive.

However, I'm starting to experimenting with Momentum.
