Destro Staff types and choices. Is there some that's better than the other?

I just started an Altmer Sorceress in the Daggerfall Covenant and I've been sticking with lightning staffs so far. I think mostly it's just to match the rest of the abilities of the class with storm calling and everything. Is there a real difference between the Inferno, Frost or Lightning staffs or is it recall matter of preference to the style you want and its bonus effects for that staff type?

Fire does DoT, frost slows the opponent, lightning drain magicka and they get some different traits with the destro staff skill line.

The effect of staff skills changes depending on the element used. You can check this for yourself - just equip the different staves and check the tooltips on the quickbar (on quickbar, not on skill list). For example, destructive touch with frost staff roots, with lightning staff disorients, etc.
