I just want to clear something up.

There have been a lot of threads posting straight out hate and insults to people who complain about ESO.

These are non constructive, they serve no purpose, but to slam other posters.

Yet, they don't get shut down.

So, it this the new way these forums are going?

It's not okay to complain about the game, but it is okay to completely insult, laugh at and degrade other posters?

I have reported many new threads doing this with absolutely no results.

Meanwhile, I'll probably get a ban for some obscure rule for this post.

They do get closed. My guess is it takes more than a single report to do so. Just because something is reported, also doesn't mean it's going to be closed down. I've also reported threads (and was told to instead report individual posts), and posts, that have seen no action.. and some where action isn't handed out until the next day, some where it was within an hour or so.. on both sides of the fence. I've had at least one comment I made moderated as well. Unfortunately, just because we feel something isn't okay, doesn't mean it directly breaks the rules, and some words, even if they should be insults, don't seem to be considered insults in and of themselves.

Edited to add: I have actually reported the "I laugh at your pain" one.. cause that one appears to just be flame bait.

I would love a link or 3 to a thread that's specifically hatred towards these people.

This will be closed any second now. This is the theme of the day, people really fed up with others behavior on here, and ZOS censoring people starting threads about it and shutting them down.

I'm with you on this issue though... I have a seriously unhealthy need to straighten people on on these things... as if it would actually make a difference or work, apparently I am the truly sick one here... And the forum censors will not just moderate any posts where you put these people in their place. They delete them entirely. But these kind of toxic people in these forums have free reign to do what they want.

But also keep in mind, they are so good at this they should be paid. Many of these guys know exactly where that line is to prevent from getting moderated, and they excel at pushing it right to that line, but never quite cross it requiring moderation. They're pros, and I can assure you they are laughing it up that so many threads have popped up today about them and their behavior. So in essence, all these threads are giving exactly what they want, and they are exceedingly entertained right now, and also feeling pretty good about themselves.

Closed in T-minus... 5.... 4.... 3...........

Completely agree OP. I have noticed maybe 4 or so threads like you describe in the last day. Would not be surprised if this one gets closed while they remain open.

My question: are these the community forums, or the game publicity forums? I have moderated and been admin on forums before. Now and again you have differing views, now and again you have renewed empathy and insight into why a mod or admin did what they did, when you must do it.

That seldom happens here. I think it is *** poor forum in how it is run to be blunt, in regards to keeping basic decorum. I see the same names talk to people like they have dropped out of a dogs bottom, and nothing is done. There are as many trolls "defending" the game as there are knocking it.

I think the issue is right there in your first sentence. People who complain about ESO. I have no issue with people posting respectful, constructive ideas about how the game can be improved. But the constant whining and whinging on these forums is frustrating. It isn't productive, it isn't constructive, it is just complaining.

I don't think there should be threads dedicated to "straight out hate and insults", but I also don't think that people should be able to post hateful and insulting things about ZOS and those who are enjoying the ESO experience either.

It's against the TOS to discuss disciplinary actions here. Doesn't matter how wrong the decision was, you'll get a warning for bringing it up. Because of this foolish, cowardly policy, I wouldn't dream of pointing out, for example, that one could get moderated and get a warning for calling someone out on bullying behavior while the original bullying post gets left untouched. If I knew of such a thing happening to someone, that is. Hypothetically.

Honestly, myself and noone else cares why people quit because the rest of us are here having fun. They should just cancel sub and move on.

See your that full of yourself. You accuse the OP of lying, when the evidence is in front of you. This is exactly what the OP is talking about.

Someone was having difficulty stopping their sub just a few days ago, and posted here asking for help. To get the usual trolling abusive behaviour, accusing them of being a troll, only to find out, he was over run taking care of sick relatives. And had to stop his sub as he could not spare the time at present. Even then they chose to ignore they behaved disrespectfully and disgracefully, and tried to hint it was not the truth. Like it matter either way.

Was this person banned? Seems way worse than saying "welcome to the club". If that is what @Blackwidow got banned for.

The million dollar questions is, frustrating to who and why? For those who made the game? Yeah that might be true.
But players that like the game and think its awesome and all? i just dont get it.
i hope they make a new x-files movie so mulder & scully can investigate the phenomenon.
