Textures settings problem

Numerous people are experiencing an issue with settings from the very launch of the game - if you have 32-bit system (i cannot confirm this but it seems everyone with this issue had 32-bit) cannot set Textures above Medium - the option is simply not there.

Only workaround for this is to reset settings to default which set everything on high, but still when you open the drop down menu on Textures it only has Low and Medium options. Also you have to do this every time you launch the game which is highly annoying. (And yes people with this issues have hardware that is able to run the even on Ultra)

Does anyone have any info about Devs intention to fix this?

I recall this being an issue early on. A workaround was to set the slider to High or Ultra then slide it back to where you need it after. Something about the pre-sets setting the texture detail correctly but not allowing custom to do the same?
    I can has typing!

the problem is - There is no slider... only drop down menu for Overall Graphics : minimal, low, medium, custom And then Texture Quality drop down menu : low, medium. All other options works fine... (i don't know about console version it might have sliders instead)

The graphics settings are actually written to the "UserSettings.txt" file , which you can find in your Windows "document" folder in Elder Scrolls Online\live or liveeu

You can edit yourself this file, of course always make a backup!

Also both AMD & NVIDIA provide software that automatically set the best settings for your video card (don't remember the name for the NVIDIA one, AMS one is "AMD gaming evolved")
Those programs works by editing the UserSettings.txt file.

    Thanks for tip

And ye i have AMD Gaming Evolved but its optimization is not what i was really looking for.... it disables things like sunrays, anti-aliasing and some other features which iam running with no problems along with high textures...

Anyway the options for ALL settings should be present in the game since it is released for some time now. I personally see this is a major bug that remains unanswered since BETA.

Edit : Tried to manually modify the "UserSettings.txt" file. It doesnt work... the texture settings are reset to Medium every time i start the game anew since there is no higher option in game... And i cannot find this settings anywhere in the file... all other options are there and working besides this.

@ZOS_JenaBruno Has anyone found a fix for this? Just built a new PC for my daughter, and didn't realize I bought a 32bit OS.

    Hey there folks,

Players that are running on a 32-bit operating system will not be able to set their visual settings above Medium. These settings are in place for game stability purposes.

I think you guys should take another look at this as you're wrong. I can force it to high settings by hitting the "default settings" button, and it is just as stable as a 64bit OS. People are smart enough to adjust there own settings without you putting a cap on them.
