"The Shattered and the Lost" Craglorn questline bugged for 18 days!!!!

I cant advance the Shattered and the Lost questline in Craglorn. I am actually in the stage where you have to find the two aspects of the mage in two 4-man group dungeons.

After freeing the first mage aspect in the unspellable dungeon "Rkundzelft" and going into the second dungeon "Hircines Haunt" to free the second aspect of the mage, I do the correct order to disable the magic shields as in the first dungeon but after the lightning effects flash like you achieved it, no npc spawns (as it perfectly did for the first aspect).

Me and the other people in the group tried reloging a few times and re-entering the dungeon but no joy. A few hours later I got a new Hircines group and stopped there to try again, yet no way to get the npc spawning.

Tried a few times today again. No chance to complete.

Can anybody take a look at this? Me and the rest of my mates can not advance in the Craglorn questing without finishing this quest.

Ladies could any of you get a look into this? We are being held in the Craglorn questing because being unable to free the second mage aspect.

It seems it has not been reported so far and its not aknowledged in the known issues post, but I have been unable to find anyone being able to complete this quest after the last patch.

I can confirm that this is still happening today. Here's as much detail as I can provide:

- Our group decided to do the Second Aspect first.
- When we reached the puzzle, all four group members had the same issue. We completed the puzzle correctly, the pretty lights went off, but no aspect appeared in the designated spot.
- Reloading the UI and relogging did not appear to fix anything.
- Bug reports were submitted in-game, but hopefully this description is helpful too.

Our grp has the same problem, right now....tried many ways, like disband grp, giving the guy with the quest lead, let him first enter the dungeon, relog, uireload, and so on.

time for a fix it totaly ruins our grps progress. we other 3 completed it before the last patch 1.2.3, but our 4th couldnt at that day...

In fact its part of a, not very good- but still, endgame-content pls fix this soon.

Any update on this? I tried it yesterday and it still didn't work.. I was the only one with quest at that point. Is it as silly as the other "main" quests where everyone need to have the exact same quest on the exact same step?

No, you can do it even if the rest of the group does not have the quest. In fact you can get past almost all the enemies in the instance up to the quest marker, so you can try to join alone when its fixed.

Ive been stuck there for over a week in one of my char (already freed the warrior and the thief). Lets hope it gets a fix this monday.

Yes, I tried it again today and it seems a Craglorn questline is not important enough to fix a simple respawn problem. Sorry for not commenting back but I just tried and alt+f4. Pretty disappointed with their priorities in this game.

Seems like it will be another 12 days of "currently investigating" with my characters at Craglorn being stuck unable to advance in this zone questline.

At least it seems they fixed a few useless sidequests in some alliances..


12 days and you are unable to fix a spawn in an unavoidable questline for the last content you released ZOS, sigh....

Two weeks and the quest is still bugged.

Nice way for us to enjoy the last released content, simply avoiding it.

Meanwhile, I could finish the so important plagued bears sidequest in Auridon with my level7 khajit. Rightly done, everybody knows sidequests are top priority.

Maybe in a few more weeks I will be able to login with one of my VR12 chars again to complete the Craglorn content Im still missing, if ZOS ever decide to give it the propper priority to a main questline.

I am glad to see people are actually questing in Craglorn, though. Instead of grinding. That is very good news. Perhaps I will try to quest tonight.

I'm still holding on to that quest as well (bugged of course). Just got started in Craglorn questing recently and that one is still on the list of quests that need to be done/fixed.

Yes, some of us are questing in Craglorn (as I did previously with both my VR chars for all the VR Alliances).

But you are right. most of people there just skip the quests and start grind-exploiting Hircines Haunt or running Trials. Apart from those who just ran away from the endgame and reroll an alt to never come back.

For those of us, ignorants, that decided to give a try to the last PVE content ZOS released and enjoy the storyline, we are blocked from any further questing for two weeks while they keep fixing and spending their manpower in avoidable sidequests that leads to nothing else.

Maybe they are trying to tell us something, like, reroll and alt and join a mindless Hircines group. Quests are for losers... except if they are unimportant, then they are top priority for our devs.

I cant just simply recall an "AAA" mmorpg that had a quest blocking further progression for the endgame PVE content for two weeks after an "actively investigating" hollow phrase thrown at the post to never come back.

Im an now officialy, actively pissed.

My group has now finished every other quest in Craglorn except for this one and the last one in this chain. We have been blocked on this one for two weeks now, and it has become more than irritating. And what's even more frustrating is that there is no more news about this particular blocked quest. At least let us know what the situation is, please, other than under investigation.

Here is what's happening for my group (FYI, this is the very last thing we have to do in this zone):

After the first aspect mage is cleared, we head to "Hircine's Haunt." We fight through to the second aspect mage area and activate the mage's circles (or whatever they are) in the correct order.

After that is done, the second aspect mage does not appear; therefore, we cannot talk to her/him.

This has been going on for a very, VERY long time.

For the last month almost I have once a day logged on for a few minutes on the EU Server to check if this quest has been hotfixed on the server-side (is that possible?) or if anyone has figured out a work around.

In my 15+ years of playing MMO's - I've never found myself bothered to post on a forum (Ultima Online->Warcraft->Star Wars: The Old Republic.)

What has frustrated me to the point of signing in and posting on this forum for the very first (and I hope) the last time - is just to say this is how you lose subscriptions without being emotional or unreasonable about it.

We all accept that software products (especially new and complex software products such recently launched MMOs) will have issues/bugs/challenges - but they are some things that are pretty unforgivable in the long-term when players do run into issues that last a month or over:

1) Lack of communication.

2) Not paying attention to the core story line quest for the current flagship zone for the product.

3) Regardless if no communication is available. At least set expectations - the open ended "currently investigating" doesn't add value to the end user.

Even while I beta tested TESO it was the fact it had such deep, rich and well written story compared to WildStar which I also beta tested at the time that sold me on giving it the benefit of the doubt.

If you can't keep the main PvE content issue free (or at least communicate why it is not) - than you are probably telling the customer that this is a mostly PvP oriented product (which is fair enough if that is true.)

However according to my moderate to very active PvP friends the game is suffering issues on that side of the product also.

So if you can't answer a simple question on what is the status of main-quest line bug ... here is more simpler one ...

What exactly are the priorities of TESO as an MMO for customers?

17 DAYS without fixing or giving a single hint about the quest.

Meanwhile the CMs waste their time responding to fishing posts, forum avatars petitions and content yet to come like dyes and the required achievements to use them... sigh

This quest BLOCKS FURTHER PROGRESSION FROM THE CRAGLORN PVE CONTENT. Remember it? Its the last PVE content you released... I have never seen such a blatant unprofessionalism in my 15 years playing MMOs.

Are you gonna keep applying your customers the silence treatment? We perfectly know you are aware of the calls you have been receiving from this post. Is it not enough for you to make us literally WASTE 17 days of our payed subscription time waiting for a fix?

I know you have been aware of this, the very same you are of the blatant lie told to us withregarding the fiery grip change, wich you actively negated prior to the change and wich has led that post to the very same "CMs Ignore Status" that this one seems to have achieved.



So what? You plan to have your customers blocked in their progress until you fix all the useless sidequests in the low level zones? Hasnt it been enough,17 days???
