I wanted to build a templar, but it didn't feel right. I'm not fond of mages, so I skipped sorcerer. I was going to go with my backup 'main', a dragonknight, but instead ended up playing my nightblade instead.

Almost quit him at about level 40, because he's an archer and it begins to get rough. But I trudged on. Planned on retiring him to a crafting alt at VR1, but guildies wanted fun. And eventually, I got better.

Looking forward to the patch, to alleviate a little of my issues with multi-group mobs.

I will admit that I ran with a 'snipe from stealth' archer as my main, and my primary backup is a two-handed medium armor barbarian nightblade. Neither are the traditional 'stab and cloak' type, which is probably why my gameplay is pretty good overall.

Had it before people told me it's OP.

I played only nightblades in the beta until the last one, when I decided to try something different and see if a supporty DK archer would work. I liked it and I already knew that my first character would be tanky Bosmer, so it seemed like a good choice.

I have two nightblades too, but I play don't play them as often.

I'm a Dragon Knight, not because it is "OP" or because it's what "everyone else does" but, because, that was the one that was first highlighted in closed beta for my testing, and I fell in love with it. I tried all the others, and they don't fit my play style as well as the skills available in the Draconic or Earthen trees. (Yea, I'm one of those weird knights that doesn't use Ardent Flame.)

I am a versatility fighter, so I am trained in all forms of weaponry as well (Did I say I'm weird?), be it via greatsword, dual wielding two bloody axes, protecting my allies behind a shield and mace, sniping foes from afar, freezing them solid, or healing my comrades, I can do it effectively with those trees.

Imperial Dragonknight. I created him the first day I got online (release day). I decided long before release that I wanted a melee-oriented Imperial, so based on the stuff people were saying about the beta I went with Dragon Knight. Despite the fact that I've now got 16 characters ranging from lvl10-lvl42, he's still my main.

I tried Sorc and Nighblade in beta, before getting around to a Templar. Once I tried the Temp, I fell in love. A weekend stress test of DK couldn't peel me away from my Temp either. Even with all the Magicka starved issues, I still love the class. Not giving it up.

Started out with a templar in early access, got to about level 12 and realized that the aedric spear abilities are a poor substitute for this game's glaring lack of actual polearm weaponry. Hated how little I used my actual weapon during combat.

So, I rerolled a nightblade after trying the classes and finding out that a nightblade's spell animations, for the most part, make it look like you're attacking with your weapon.

Got my nightblade to 38 before stalling out with the stamina/melee/medium armor issues and numerous class bugs. Started a templar again on a different faction.

The templar is slowly becoming my main, my nightblade is relegated to mostly crafting duties now. The templar, as a healer, is far more useful in pve and pvp content than my nightblade was. Still disappointed in the lack of a polearm weapon type, and how cheesy some of the spear animations are, but I can live with it if it means being that much more effective.

Sorcerer, but then I almost always go for whatever the game's offensive spellcaster is. No concern for relative power in that choice, just what I prefer - sometimes I end up over powered, sometimes a weak little gimp.

I played an NB to VR7. I don't really know why I stuck with it so long. I was hoping to be a sort of ranger/archer type rather than a sneaky rogue, but bow is just totally meh in this game, so perseverd with DW eventually wen staff and light armour just to stand a chance of survival. Started playing a DK alt (now VR 4) while waiting for them to fix the VR mobs that suddenly became tougher than God and decided it was much more playable, and even looks so much more impressive than a lousy nightblade whose greatest ability is stealthing through 3 packs and so retired the NB to do crafting. Until I hear reliable news that archer builds have become a reasonable spec, he won't be coming out of retirement.

Templar and Nightblade are both Smithing, Clothing, and Woodworking. They each do different things, the Templar is Light Armor, Heavy Armor, and Bow, Resto Staff, and Shield; the Nightblade is Medium Armor, Smith Weapons, and Destro Staves. Sorcerer is my Enchanter, and Dragon Knight is my Alchemist; everyone does Provisioning because you can go 1 to 50 in a couple of hours with level 15 recipes.

from 1 - VR6, my NB was your typical burst from stealth STA build.
From VR6-12, I changed spec to a siphon/destro build /w resto for swap

I was leaning Nightblade at first because I wanted to play this game in much the same way I did Skyrim; Medium Armor, with 2h and bow as primary weapons and conjuration magic on the side. Of all that, conjuration was the most important to me and so when it came to light only sorcs could use it, that's what I went with.

Of course, I came to discover I can't play this game in the same way I did Skyrim for one simple reason; I group up with my brother. And whenever my brother and I play the same online game together, if there is any way whatsoever to heal then I take up that burden because I can't trust anyone else to heal him. And so, skirt and stick is the life for me.

NB bow/2h is my alt though, thinking of doing exclusively PvP with him since I do NOT want to do all the quests all over again.
