    I would like to know is why they couldn't feed the new content stuff during the week so it wouldnt have to be so damn big on patch day...sheesh!

    They could have let us have the download before this ...now people are going to have to wait a couple of hours to download it.

    That's a beastly patch. I'm getting about 7 mB/s from the patcher though.

    Just an FYI for all those who hate patch day downloads, if you leave the launcher running it will automatically download and install the patch when its available, thus usually when you are at work/afk it will patch and when you come back its magically delicious.
    Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

    I decided to do some exploring. Those Speedtest results were on the PC downstairs. My PC upstairs has been plugging in to a router this whole time. Plugged the ethernet cable directly into my PC and I'm up to about 3 Mbps.

    So yeah, routers.

    FYI, youdased...the download just became available just now after they said the servers was back up.

    thats generally a REALLY bad idea for security.....

    i mean REALLY bad... unless you modem is supplying your computer with a private IP that is....

    It must be all the people downloading. Because my speedtest is saying 22.6gb dl and 2.5 up sooo ...damn you zenimax put more resources to ME for downloading :wink:

    i have fiber internet able to download over 500mbs, client only downloads 40mB/s max for me....*flex*

    9, ZOS rep said it was 8, so I posted, but when I tested it, it is close to 9 instead of 8.

    Probably to avoid people moaning if they have to role back and their client just got broken by a patch that isn't live. ;)

    Just for the record your math is off. As of the 4th of July it will only be open for 3 months, and only two of those are additional subs. First month was included.

    Basic circle of complaints on ESO Forums:
    1) Users: Fix game/class/bug
    2) Zenimax Online: Brings servers down and fixes issues and deploys patches.
    3) Users: OMG SERVERS ARE DOWN!!!!!
    4) Zenimax Online: Brings servers back up!
    5) See 1)

    Dear god this company must be run by amateurs!

    They only let us download the patch when server maintenence is done. Thus everyone downloads at the same time and the server resources are bottlenecked.

    Why couldn't we download it in the background in bits and pieces like every other MMO out there instead of all at once AFTER maintence?

    I really, REALLY wish they'd work on their update compression. A few changes to shaders, some switched balance numbers, and a dungeon that's already in the game shouldn't really be so incredibly large.
