I use talons on my DK fire mage, but honestly... a shorter duration on the DoT is nothing.. Nothing much lives longer than 3 seconds anyway.

Even though I play a tanking DK I almost hope for nerfs every patch, cause I know ragnar will be all melodramatic all over the forums during the day. Makes for entertaining reads between compiles.

(Buff) Extended Chains (Fiery Grip morph): This ability’s cost has been decreased.

(wash) Fiery Grip: This ability will no longer taunt monsters that already have an active taunt on them

(Buff) Flame Lash (Lava Whip morph): Increased the damage and healing for this ability’s activated follow-up attack

(Nerf) Molten Whip (Lava Whip morph): This ability’s slotted passive only applies to Ardent Flame skill line abilities instead of all fire damage.

This is a decent nerf to those using a Flame Destruction Staff. It is only minor most other DKs.

(bug fix buff) Choking Talons: You will no longer be charged twice the required magicka amount to use this ability.

(buff) Dragon Leap: This ability’s minimum range requirement has been removed.

(unsure) Burning Talons (Dark Talons morph): Decreased this ability’s damage-over-time duration.

This could either be a buff or a nerf. If the duration was decreased but its damage was left the same then its a buff. If its duration was deceased and its damage decreased then its a nerf. Overall most DKs spam this anyway so less duration is pointless to spammers.

(silly) Igneous Shield (Obsidian Shield morph): This ability now increases the healing you deal to allies for 5 seconds instead of increasing your shield value.

This is just silly and cant fathom this change until I test it. Seems like it will be a nerf to some and a buff to others. Be nice if it just made those effected by the shield receive increased healing.

(??) Igneous Shield (Obsidian Shield morph): This ability’s healing buff no longer stacks.

The healing buff was applied to this patch and already a patch not fixing stacking issues.

(buff) Petrify: This ability now damages enemies when the effect ends.




Overall I think DKs got a slight buff to most builds.

Just because you decided to sum it all up as "nerfs." Some things were nerfed, many were buffed.

While I am against all nerfs, it does not mean I am going to assume the entire patch had no buffs.

Automatic crowd-control immunity and crowd-control break immunity will now protect you from the same types of crowd-control.

Unless they added CC immunity to talons after it wears off/is dodge rolled out of, I don't think so.

However the biggest nerf to my DK which no one has yet listed. Only Dark Elf specific......but there are many DEDK's.

And before you say that's not specifically a nerf because it is too vague (whole other issue), I will bet you a stack of sweetrolls that it is....and probably pretty significant.

Why are people so happy to see ANY class nerfed?

What is it envy? Jealousy that your class is not as powerful? The game is not balanced in more than just the area of classes. It requires substantial buffs to other areas such as stamina builds and NB and Templars for that balance.

It's sad to see other people take such delight in seeing other peoples builds ruined.

You mean the same sorcs laughing at DKs every patch? Youve had ONE nerf weve had 4 or 5 patches of nerfs (I lost count)

Srsly. Zenimax is buffing a class that is able to wipe an entire raid by pushing one single button and they rly got the balls to call that a nerf.

My theorie is that Zenimax will never nerf dk's because like 60% of the players are dk's and would quit after a real nerf putting the class on the other classes lvl.

the buffs on nightblade and templars are a joke.

weird that almost every single emperor is a fukin dk because its like ez mode spamming flags and *** everyone close by.

im not a fan of nerfs but dk's are like gods in this game and no other class comes close to it. With a DK in ur group u are a winner.

I promise u DK's dont worry there will never be a nerf and the other classes buffs are pretty much like a cheap try to manipulate us believing we got buffed,.

You had albeit a slightly more extensive but nearly in sync analysis as my post from mid last night.

Guess I am not so confused.

Bottom line, in terms of RvR until they remove the 'I win' chain pull button this class will always be OP.
