I'm just waiting to find out the delay is because our Lvls have been wiped.

I mailed some runes to friend to make inv room while I was grinding, asking for return.
One of the returned emails was blank.

I figure: If they can lose email attachment content, they can scrub our lvls or achievements too while dusting/cleaning the servers.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

They would never do that. Character data would have backups and those backups would have backups. Their entire game would come to an end if they ever let something like that happen.

I would be cool with a level wipe as long as we got to keep our stuff because leveling is the most fun part of ESO, like most MMO's as soon as you hit level cap the game gets boring and no longer any fun at all..ESO has the exact same problem...so redoing the levels would be fun for me :)

Well the devs show a level of amateur incompetence that few others have.

Im sure most old players will quit if that happens. They probably have a back up for the back up for the backup for the backup, locked in in a lead case and stored at the bottom of Atlantic Ocean.

They would just fire up the backups. Unless it was just your character. Then you might be screwed for awhile (even that could be fixed in time with cs ticket though).

I find it funny that if they have all these back ups that they can't restore a deleted character. *Funny story involving my 7 year old just following what the computer told her to do while I was away from my PC*

I don't know. There's some bug that some have reported getting that causes their main story quest to glitch and they can't progress past coldharbour. After hashing it out with support some of them have been told, basically, "sorry we can't help you." And their option is to re roll if they want to see content beyond.

In 15 years of MMOs that's the FIRST time I've ever heard of anything like that happening. Character problems that took forever to fix, yes, but never a game ender like that.

Umm news flash! The entire game IS slowly rapidly coming to an end.

Please, for the love of everything that's holy, don't give these developers any ideas.

If they thought they could get the money-train chugging along even faster by wiping our progress two to four times a year and giving rewards for the fastest players to V1 and the defeat of You-Know-Who, it wouldn't at all surprise me to read it were being implemented. They could even put our names on a shiny e-pee... um... leaderboard.

Odd, my wife had a issue in Coldharbour as well where she couldn't move past a certain point and she was "pushed" past it considering all the other requirements were met for the quest, it just wouldn't register. So they can do it...

Awesome idea! My gf and i are vr4. I want to change classes, but she will kill me if i make her drag me around! ( she doesn't care for leveling much.). If i can just get home before her and delete our characters, i can tell her the patch did it! It is win/win!

If, if this is true, then The Elder Scrolls Online will meet a much-deserved end.

This isn't something their PR would be able to sweep under the rug, at all. It would end them, as it should.

If the developers at Zenimax Online Studios are truly so devoid of any fiber of integrity that they would shove an update out of the door that would even have the chance of doing such a thing like wiping levels, then they really should just pack-up and get out of the business, and for everyone else's sake I hope they would.

However, though Zenimax Online Studios has made some monumental screw-ups and made completely asinine, illogical decisions in the past, I cannot believe them to be that stupid.
