    At this rate my SSD that usually could hold multiple programs and two MMO's won't even be able to fit ESO. What are you guys doing that is so different from every other game out there?

    they are saying some of the downloaded content will replace existing files, others will be new.

    This game is expanding, for sure, I just hope not too quickly.

    I just don't see what they added that could possibly take that much space. New mobs in an existing dungeon, jerkins some changed files but what could take that much space? Was Craglorn even this big?

    no, Craglorn patch was about 5G

    Im pretty sure it is downloading compressed files and then extracting them overwriting other files. I doubt that the actual install size will increase by 8 gb.

    I didn't actually check the size first, but that seems to be what games do. If WoW increased it's size by the amount of each patch it would be like 2tb.

    That is the first batch. Once that's done and is applied, another batch will begin downloading.
