I'm also sure that for every person who wants to dye their weapons (like me) there is a person who doesn't want it to happen.

Why not make the poison weapons green and the lightning purple? Problem solved.
On another note, you are going to see a ton of players walking around in either solid gold or jet black.
I hope so, The color selection looks awesome at this point, so having that freedom with weapons would be great.
The only thing I'm dreading is the inevitable full pink, head to toe, mass of gear somebody will choose.
I'm kinda doubting it for some reason. I would prefer it but I don't see weapon dying happening. I am looking forward to finally having a say in my clothing color though.
It must be so. Silver-White weapon and armour of mine must shine like a newborn Magna-Ge.
closest to hot pink i'v seen is a blood stain type pink on khajiit robesHammerswarm wrote: »The solution here is obvious: no unnatural colors!
Keep the available colors to a expansive but preset list of what would have been available or is available on the color pallets of in world fabrics.
For example, green is prevalent in the bosimer areas, blue in the altmer areas, and red pops up from time to time on NPCs. I've never seen hot pink reflected on an NPC.
it does not work like this. just look at the material needed for Altmer: adamantite: green. npcs maybe do not wear pink but it should not prevent one from dyeing his weapon this way. who knows, maybe lesser races enjoy it.Hammerswarm wrote: »The solution here is obvious: no unnatural colors!

That's my fear as well. This is probably the only time where I actually wished for limited options. That being said it's all subjective and players would have been demanding pink eventually so better to just get it over with now I guess. I hope it's a dirty pink thoughI hope so, The color selection looks awesome at this point, so having that freedom with weapons would be great.

I wonder if perhaps one day we might be able to dye out shields though? That would be nice, especially considering some are quite coloured.
