If yes then I totally wanna see Necromancy added to the game as a new class. It would be freaking awesome. We could have an Ultimate that turns you into an Lich or have pets (Obviously!) skeletons or those massive flesh atronarchs :)

Abnur Tharn is a battlemage. He's a Daedra worshipper, yes, but he isn't a necromancer like Mannimarco (the King of Worms).

But his niece is, and it does seem to be common in the family. Plus, it's not outlawed globally yet, just significantly frowned upon.

All that said, I don't want a new class, just a new skill line. That way any class can pick up these options.
Ruze Aulus. Mayor of Dhalmora. Archer, hunter, assassin. Nightblade.
Gral. Mountain Terror. Barbarian, marauder, murderer. Nightblade.
Na'Djin. Knight-Blade. Knight, vanguard, defender. Nightblade.

Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.

He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.

This is an multiplayer game. I should be able to log in, join a dungeon, join a battleground, queue for a dolmen or world boss or delve, teleport in, play for 20 minutes, and not worry about getting kicked, failing to join, having perfect voice coms, or being unable to complete content because someone's lagging behind. Group Finder and matchmaking is broken. Take a note from Destiny and build a system that allows from drop-in/drop-out functionality and quick play.

I know that Imperials are supposedly Daedra worshipers at this time period, but I don't know if we can put Tharn in that category.

For one thing, Varian seems to have worshiped the Divines, so we can probably assume that the Daedra worship came during the last 4 years and due to the influence Mannimarco has over Clivia Tharn. The Empress Regent would have a lot of pull in that area.

To add to that, we know that there are Imperials that still hold the Divines as sacred due to missions in various alliances and Cyrodiil.

Finally... It's Abnur Tharn. He's a ball of sarcastic, cynical awesome. I doubt he's remotely devout and only gives the appearance of worshiping whatever is most convenient at the time. He places the survival of the Empire and his Family (in that order) above all else, and always makes sure he can be in a position to work towards those goals. It's hard to imagine him worshiping anything unless he's getting something in return.

I would rather they add a class because: 3 new ultimate and 3 new skill lines to play with (I don't mind leveling, already working on my sorcerer which is lvl 43 atm). :)

While adding a new skill line (or three) dedicated to different branches would also add those skill lines, but provide access to everyone, not just the synergy of one particular class.

You're benefiting more players with independent skill lines. I personally wouldn't mind seeing the entire class system removed in favor of a more traditional Elder Scrolls/Old-School MMORPG experience.

I don't want to see 12 classes in character generation. I want to see light-armor burst damage two-handed barbarians and heavy-armor pet-controlling tanks and stealthy mages and teleporting shadow knights.

There's a difference between worshipping Meridia (who at least is favorable to Mortals) and Molag Bal.

How so? Daedra worship far predated Second Era.

Well, duh. People only worship Daedric Princes for what they offer. Molag Bal and Mehrunes Dagon offer power.

Tharn's involved in something shifty, no doubt. I'm leaning towards daedra worship due to his familiarity on the topic. I wouldn't be surprised if he was doing necromancy on the side as well.

Either way, the man is 164 years old. I doubt he got that far through his unending devotion to the divines, or his stellar diet plan.

We also see Imperials who are faithful to the Divines. We see some who travel a large distance just to recover artifacts of one of the Divines, for example.

True, though the majority of Imperials worshiping Daedra is likely new. For example, we see the temples to the Divines as still being intact in Cyrodiil (with an exception) and well kept, suggesting that any movement away from them by the general populace is a fairly recent occurrence.

Varian's faith to Akatosh could come from his contrition for causing the soulburst, but he didn't strike me as being stupid. The rest of the companions were fooled by Mannimarco, after all. It seems unlikely that a Daedra worshiper would become convinced that Akatosh would change just anyone into Dragonborn for finding the Amulet of Kings. Being Dragonborn would be meaningless if it were that simple.

It makes more sense if Varian believed that finding of the Amulet would become a capstone with his faith and devotion to the Divines to prove his worth.

Not to mention that High Rock allowing Daedra worship is actually considered odd and is remarked on as such by Flaccius in his Improved Guide to the Empire. And since Flaccius wrote this 4 years before gameplay starts, we have to assume that he isn't used to seeing Daedra worship being open at that point.

This, the temples, and what we know is Mannimarco's growing influence over Clivia, suggests that the mass worship of Daedra is fairly recent.
Well, duh. People only worship Daedric Princes for what they offer. Molag Bal and Mehrunes Dagon offer power.

Except that the power comes at a cost and the Princes are fickle beasts with no real interest in what happens to mortals.

Remember, Tharn cares about the survival of the Empire and his Family. He can't actually count on a Daedric Prince to follow through when he needs it, and he would always be a pawn to his patron, or less. Tharn isn't the type to willingly be anyone's pawn.

Yep want to see it too.
History, like a human being, is thirsty when it wakes from its slumber…History wants to drink up an enormous amount of blood. And even if history has tired of drinking blood, that’s only in regards to the amount. But what about quality? The larger the sacrifice is, the more delighted the cruel gods will be.

I don't believe Abnur personally worships the Daedra, he sees them as a power to use, not a power to praise.

Imperials are not daedra worshippers at this time, or any time. They are devout followers of the Divines. It's only the Tarhn family and a few others than worship daedra (mainly for power).

And, Abnur Tharn is not a necromancer. He does not use a single necromantic spell in the entire game. He also doesn't declare himself a necromancer, nor does anyone (like Mannimarco or Molag Bal) call him one. He is is just a mage.
