Vet Dolmens

Recap
Recap

The mob strength is too much, seeing how unpopulated these vet zones are. I can spend 30+ minutes spamming chat getting more people telling me I am ignored rather than getting help. We should be able to do these with less people.

Here is the problem you probably ran into...

    LFM Dolmen X
    LFM Dolmen X
    LFM Dolmen X

and more times in a row each one less than a second afther the other, that is how you get ignored, for spamming, but honestly not had an issue getting dolmens done myself, usually end up with 4-7 people on the same mission when asking or seeing someone asking for help with them.

If not the case with senseless spam... you could be looking for people in the off peak hours.

You don't get ignored by people who also need the dolmen, only fat people have nothing better to do than feel like they made an important life decision by /ignoring you. Yeah it wasn't peak hours but this has happened multiple time through multiple vet zones. It gets old and the feeling of needing to complete everything continues to dwindle.

I've always felt that the dolmens should scale based on the number of people at them. There are already 'stages', so if someone shows up during a stage, the next stage would have stronger npcs and so forth. This way people could still complete them, without relying on 4-5 other people to do them (the vet ones with harvesters or atronachs are tough!). I believe GW2 uses this mechanic. I have no idea how they do this technically, seems difficult.

But yeah, I feel your pain OP. If you unlucky enough to play during the off hours, finding people to do VR6+ dolmens is all but impossible.

It is possible you are being auto ignored by spam filter. Lots of people use it. Try changing up how you ask for help each time and don't use words with all caps (people will ignore all caps or overly dramatic requests). Your use of the term "fat people" in your reply tells me your chat requests are probably not very inviting.

You can't expect people to rush to your aid at off peak hours. The vet areas are already pretty low in numbers. If you've annoyed 5 of them with your requests, 5 more are using spam filter and auto ignored you, that may leave you with 1 or 2 other people in that zone at the same time. They may have already completed that particular dolmen or are in the middle of something they don't want to drop.

another thing is you dont need 10 people competing just to hit something. its easy with 4 good players, me and another templar just did a vr5 one with the 2 of us. and if 2 templars can do it its not to hard( considering all the complaints that temps and blades are underpowered compared to other classes)

Why do you want to do the dolmens? Achievement? Drops? I just got to VR1 and I skipped many of the dolmens on the 1-50 road. Can I just skip them in VR as well or is there a significant reward somewhere?

It is simple, appear like a nub or immature teen/adult or whatever scares me the hell away in the first place.. irrational behaviour as unneeded caps, 10xspams of the text in the chat within 4 seconds...

There are achievements tied to dolmen completion and a few rare drops you can only get from Molag's generals.

I think an issue with Dark Anchors is certain spawned models are nearly impossible with few players, as if they're an elite variant. Since it seems which Dolmen that spawns is based at random you never really know which variant you're gonna get. As it is right now though, you can deal with MOST of them with as little as 2-3 players, and then a few of them need 6+ but I haven't found a single one that needed more than 7-8 players. It could also be the time of day that you play, it's hard to say tbh.

Be creative, tell them you have an epic adventure waiting, and/or cookies, beer and a naked dancer there instead of some generic "LFM";) Personally I don't usually redo anchors, but if I see a creative plea for help, chances are I'll come.
Really tho, either vet 6 is more popular than vet 5 or ppl like me, haven't had many problems in current zone(Auridon) with either dolmens or bosses.

Not only for the chest rewards (which I've gotten alot of treasure maps from), but in V1 you get a nice 10k chunk of XP. Higher the vet zone, the more xp.

There was a handy guide linked here a short while ago : http://tamrielfoundry.com/2014/05/dark-anchors-in-eso/. Whilst I knew some of it, and some is out of date, the most interesting is that they scale with player numbers to an extent. Most people in chat seem to think they need many players to take them on, but often 2 is ideal (probably 1 for some builds based on sustainability).

I quite often help people with them if nearby, was quite shocked how much VR xp they give now.
